the guy in chat said he did it from VR. Either way, it's still OP.

If your main argument is that he has too many accounts, just know beta accounts don't have to pay at the moment

Your entire argument hinges that he has the means for the accounts and you don't. Its the same as if you and your whole org were doing the missions together and 1 person does the hauling.

This is not an exploit just using a bigger brain.

Dude. Chillax. wow. You sound like you’re taking it personally.

Also, replacing the i in shit with a star is really quite pointless if you don’t want to type ‘shit’. ?. Choose a different word, there are plenty.

But you are kind of correct about this game being a dictatorship.  Or feudal... Though, not sure where the communist bit is coming from, unless you’re talking the US definition of red-peril communism that is basically used to describe a dictatorship once again.

there may be some true communist single tier orgs in the game but that doesn’t make the game communist.

    you were more

    on point with feudal/dictatorship.

My org is pure communism. We bleed red and gold over on soviet Madis. Even still sending out our mining guys felt like a sentence in the gulag. This game feels like a full time job and is not fun.

2 months after a forum mute to say this lol

DU Will probably never ever ever in a decade release a proper string of developer updates and follow through on features dropped onto a pts. (Like the mission system, 2 full major updates and still not out yet......)

All of our time would probably be better spent on making our own voxel game and publish it because it seems it would be better and faster for all of us to do that at this point in time.

I had insanely high hopes for this game but the last 8 months have been an utter joke. I hold no hope and will continue to sit in idle while waiting for content to inevitably get pushed back another patch.

Every game has their own chat platform, the more SOCIAL the game, the better the platform. DU has Discord? WHAT? Can you do better?

YES THANK YOU. SOMEONE FINALLY SAID IT. I CAN NEVER TELL WHEN I GET A MESSAGE. WHERE IS THE DING AND FLASHING NOTIFICATION.

"Deploy a ground unit on your tile and it generates ore" sounds a lot more like the sort of income generation gameplay you'd expect from a mobile game like Clash of Clans (Gold mines, etc) than the sort of thing I'd expect on a AAA PC MMO.  I hope there's going to be more to it than just dumping down an item on a structure and the ore magically appearing in a container that has to be emptied by hand regularly ...

This is a AAA MMO??? Last I checked they crowd funded the game on kickstarter before getting VC funding

  5. We get it you want PVP but what the hell is the point of PVP if there is nothing else leading to PVP? It seems you guys have spent too long drifting in space and all that radiation had shrunk your concept of basic game mechanics to drive PVP. There literally is no game to play to want to PVP in. How about you stop bitching about PVP and focus on the systems that could drive it then complain about how broken it is.

We don't need 500 more topics and posts from you blaze complaining about PVP that's all you talk about. It seems you have little to no knowledge of how a game should be developed from start to finish, you just want to jump right to the end game patches.

4k posts and about the last 300 are complaining about PVP.

I guess you never saw the mining tutorial then I guess.. and neither did they..

The introduction talks about how some high tier ore is deep in the ground as I recall it and the new player is clearly advised to go do the tutorials, one of which is all about locating and then extracting ores from the ground.

So if someone has been picking up rocks even for days on sanctuary they have not been paying attention.

Now I'll certainly agree the introduction is so long and has so much that really has no relevance to getting players started (and could be brought in as part of the actual tutorials really), but it is there.

You mean the institutes that are not mandatory to leave the starting building???

  7. I have read through about 40 topics from new players suggesting stupid mechanics that would literally set this game back further than it already is. Just because you are still on sanctuary with your first factory line does not mean you can suggest things when you have little to no understanding of how the game actually plays. I personally want this game to succeed and watching you noobs waste the time of NQ with useless ideas and discussion on these forums is counter productive.

THINGS THAT NEED TO HAPPEN IN ORDER:

1: Finalize the missions system that you ALREADY HAD ON THE PTS

2: Do some bugfixing for existing exploits that keep happening.

3: Fix the massive issues with constructs and PVP

    4: Introduce Asteroids

    Missions:

These should be player and NPC created with the NPC missions being high risk high reward moving cargo from Ion to Feli or something to get people into PVP space and to generate money while not being neck deep in a hole.

    PVP:
Rework the voxels and weapons because whoever did the math on those needs to go back through high-school math class again.

    Asteroids:

Easy way to get people into PVP space to get some of the higher Tier ore that has vanished from most of the planets and entices orgs to do more fleet actions.

I HAVE NEVER SEEN A GAME WASTE 8 MONTHS OF PLAYERS TIME TO RELEASE A CONE TOOL AND A TEXTURE UPDATE WHEN THEY HAD CONTENT ON THE BACK BURNER.

This game is in a very sad state and as a huge fan of it I hate to see it die. I have been following it for 7 years now and to see the massive inconsistency in communication is a joke for a company charging a fee to play.

Starbase took a shot at NQ as an example of what not to do with their game. how about NQ learn from how Starbase is going about communication with their players and actually get stuff flowing that is worth a crap instead of saying "Hey you went 8 months without anything so expect the next 8 months to have about the same. Please don't cancel and enjoy the texture update that shaves 20fps off your average for no reason making half the community quit."

These last devblogs have been a prime example of them trying to play nice PR after having months of using the community as toilet paper.

Coherent UI has databinding... But I doubt they'll go there... currently the html is redrawn every frame / tick, that is of course costly if there's a lot of it. Databinding allows the html dom to stay in memory and only redraw values that change. That's one of Coherent UI's powerful features that isn't being used. Of course you'll get bad performance redrawing the whole DOM all the time.

This game is the pioneer of bad performance. I would not be shocked if we all found out that they have been bitcoin mining this whole time.

Currently (I believe) you can give somebody permission to pick up stuff from the market for you (May benorgs only, haven’t tested). The problem is this gives them the ability to pick up every thing you have in every market.

plus there is no way to ensure they deliver. Missions I assume would have insurance for them not completing mission, bond, etc.

There is a box for collateral in the missions system that was on the pts

How about the packaging? And Dropoff would in in a "read-only" container?

Reputation system? If someone steals on purpose -> impact.

I sometimes think this is re-inventing the wheel.

Or how is it done in other games?

You just described what they had on the PTS already built.

NQ has brainwashed the mission system from the players minds like it was never on the pts 3 months ago.

They actually do, so does the first introduction.

Beyond that, some things should be left to find out and frankly OP is not even close to getting to the point of needing higher tier ores yet.

As a member of a large org that had new players trickle in all the time I can say without a doubt they did not tell you that. I have rescued so many players from sanctuary who have only been picking up rocks for DAYS some for WEEKS.

  11. 5 hours ago, NQ-Naerais said:

As other players have said, your starter planet is just that - your starter - get your feet on the ground and learn the basics. You'll need to travel to find higher tier ore's and most meganodes :) Happy exploring..

    Oh.. and:

If only the tutorials told you that......

    ...not sure if serious...

But the content in these 'missions' doesn't sound all that much fun.  If it's not all that much fun and makes less money than mining to bots then I think we can all guess how many people will be running these after the first couple of weeks.

It was a serious question, the op was talking about offering the jobs and I was genuinely interested if the jobs they would offer would compete with bot mining or not.

IMO what we need now is things that are thought all the way through, not more stuff chucked out there "because it's something to do", "because it's on the roadmap" or "because it's late" without any real thought for whether it will actually change anything.

Who cares about the money. I have all of it I will ever need. What else is there to do when your income is insanely disposable? Build a city? Cant because players quit and you cant remove their cores. PVP? Cant because gold is more scarce than the pvpers. So the only option left to stick around and "Test" new features is to literally quit the game and come back when there is something to do other than be a slave in a hole for my org. Sorry that you are so small minded you cant see the bigger picture from inside your hole.

  13. 11 hours ago, Zeddrick said:

Do you think it would be economically sensible for people to run those jobs you would post?  Or would people be able to make a lot more money in the same amount of time mining and selling to bot orders?  Say you can mine 200kl per hour and sell at 25 quanta per kl, that means you're making about 5 million per hour.  If your hauling job is going to take someone a total of 30 minutes to complete, would you be paying them anywhere near 2.5 million?  If not why would they do it instead of the mining?

WHO CARES ITS SOMETHING TO DO YOU DONT F***** GET IT LIKE EVERYONE ELSE!@#!@#!@#!@#!@#!@%$@#^%&$

CCP wasn't a AAA developer 18 years ago when EVE was in beta and they lost one of their first CMs.

CIG is far from a AAA developer they try to be but they have had more turnover than two game companies combined.

Wurm Online literally lost one of its co-creators during development.  He went on to creat Minecraft.

You are comparing static games and a block based game to a procedurally generated single shard civ building game with dynamically rendered 3dmodels from the meshes people build and do it on the fly to not mess up the LOD so much. They manage to do all that with very little lag or hiccups (aside from the few exploits we have seen with the foolish concept of trusting the client too much to save their server bills).

FOCUS on building tools, avatar cosmetics, in game proximity voice chat.....

How about an in-game working chat integrated with the existing community page. Would be nice for once to send someone an offline message or even message an org for information.

I will personally NEVER give those people another red cent. I gave them $40 a few years ago for Star Citizen, and regretted it ever since. Worst money ever spent. NOPE! I'll stick with Dual Miner.....much better game.

With as chaotic as this game is the competitors out there have more features but this game seems to have the best stability to player count compared.

If you say that this is "our group", for me to reference that, I would say "your group". But I guess the intent of that comment (as wel as basic English grammar) went over your head.

And on my main character I would not ever want to apply to BOO no, they stand for pretty much everything in game that Blazemonger does not. That said though, I may or may not have an Alt in BOO, just to keep tabs on things, just like I have eyes and ears in other places.. like Discord servers ..

And even when our in-game characters doe not match well, that does not mean we need to defacto disagree or not be able to appreciate and understand another person's perspective here, something you may want to try some time. There is a difference between what happens in game and what happens here. In a personal context it's quite possible I could probably have a beer or two with anyone from BOO, I have no reason to not take that opportunity if it arises. In other cases, I doubt personalities would be very compatible or likable to do the same.

Even though there is salt in here, I believe none of us are truly enemies as we all share the same taste for self harm. We all keep coming back here day after day hoping for things to change. We are all the same here. Any bad blood is in poor sportsmanship.

    2. BOO actually made me welcome, i have received nothing but kindness, SLI was good except for the certain people who had caused me to leave, and the reason you didnt welcome me back  is because i joined BOO, knowing SLI has AC connections i probably should have kept my distance.

We have AC Connections? Pretty sure we are very neutral. Also you were a part of MTI. As with many larger orgs SLI is comprised of smaller orgs. You were Still welcome in SLI but excluded from the MTI division. You chose to leave the server after. We have quite a few members of BOO in SLI, but since you are such a huge influencer in BOO now I figured you would know that. Sylva better watch out otherwise you might edge her out with all that knowledge.

This is the same guy that within 3 days in DU was telling our seasoned members how to play the game and that people were not doing it the right way. So keep up that propaganda train my dude and keep trying to take that high road.

I don't like you because you lie, manipulate, and try to play stupid about it all but unfortunately you are not very good at any of that.

Interesting. We don't find EL X toxic at all. He's super helpful, in fact. Helping newbies, organizing events, all kinds of things. Sounds like you didn't really give him a chance to shine. :)

We did. He jumped between channels antagonizing members till they muted him. Its not that we did not give him a chance, he just did not know when enough was enough. He was warned multiple times. Also the recent attempt at trying to steal info from our org was laughable.

  20. 4 hours ago, ELX987 said:

when i left SLI, i did some research into other orgs, i had remembered seeing @Derpzilas video on fighting spreezy and that turned me on, when i first spoke to sylva, i learned alot about the other orgs, and based on what she told me i knew i was joining BOO, and i have loved it ever since!

other orgs i think are cool and good people, i however i will shoot them in game and have fun doing it and i hope they shoot me and have fun doing it! i am a pirate always and forever!

You left SLI Because MTI excluded you from our daily activities due to how toxic you are. You tried to come back last week and were informed you are not welcome back. This is absolutely hilarious that you probably don't even play the game anymore and just come on here to grab attention. Quite sad actually lol.

  21. 2 minutes ago, ShippyLongstalking said:

No one cares about BOO or your PvP goals one way or the other. We're not complaining about PvP at all. We don't care about safezones. We don't care about AC.

how is this a hard concept to understand...?

we're talking about pointless trash-talking and flaming that has jack-all to do with the game. it's really not a hard thing to grasp. there's plenty of other channels for teenage bullshit, stick to those.

You just described what you are currently doing. Hate to be that guy but.... Yeah...
