Yeah sure, sorry due to inactivity, I had some stuff come up this weekend - I'll talk to you guys more this week with new updates!
-
Awesome! Glad to see new players joining the community! Especially of so many ethnicities!
Also, do you mind if I contact you later about matters of clan/organization?
-
Is the board open to everyone, or limited to the current cast?
-
Guys, you need to just relax, it's hard joining a multilingual community when the majority isn't your language! Heck, I even play a game on my phone that's all in Chinese. I can play it but I can't read it!

-
I updated the thread again, including the final few orders (hopefully), and a few other tidbits pertaining towards titles and citizen classes.
-
I replaced that position that Merlin would hold with the title of Magnus. Sounds much more cool and realistic than Wizard.
-
Updated! Recruitment form to come soon!
-
This is just an idea, not meant to be a controversy. People said the forums were getting a bit slow, so I posted this thread. I honestly could care less if they were truly implemented.
-
Darn it! They've figured out where I will hide my nukes!
-
Double post, sorry!

An MMO without clothing!? What heresy!
-
-
Tl dr; do it yourself?
-
Because it contains no advanced components such as strong thrusters for drop ships, or advanced electrical systems other than audio and visual communications. It is also less likely to be shot down than a larger dropship.
Edit: A one man pod that is the size of a full fighter? That would be redundant, yes.
-
It wouldn't fall straight down, pods never do. It's a glorified escape pod silly.
-
Not if you have active thrusters that deploy to slow down the pod, like the top of a rocket such as the Apollo moon lander.
-
It's not individual ships as those are expensive to produce. In essence, you attach this pod module to your ship. A player or vehicle gets or is placed inside. Someone flips a switch and a row drops straight down towards the planet. Easy and expendable.
-
This is just an open forum to discuss an idea. I know you can attach various parts to your ship to add functionalities. I was thinking about a temporary module that lasts until you deploy or reload it. This drop pod would come in various sizes, able to deposit land or air based vehicles onto the planet. You could deploy shock troops, such as paratroopers from orbit into enemy territory to attack previously defended positions that are unassailable due to their strong encampments. However, this wouldn't come without it's own risks, mechanical failure causing pods to land and the speed of a missile, or other similar problems.
Basically like in Halo, Warhammer 40k, and a variety of other games.

Added more to the story! Take a look if you want!

Thanks, and more updates!
-
Oh! How would I get to that?
-
Thank you to all the leaders who have posted on this board. I would love to talk to you at some point later on via the forum or skype, just to get tips, and of course establish negotiations! I want to make this games eventual experience as enjoyable as possible!
I updated it a bit as well. And may be changing my own name so the Commonwealth may retain it's own!
Wireless Energy
in The Gameplay Mechanics Assembly
Posted
Have you ever seen the touch pads for your phones, and wondered why energy isn't truly wireless? Can you imagine that, free floating energy that can be used by anyone as long as you have a power source? Well, the mighty inventor, Nikola Tesla actually proved that such a thing was possible so many years ago; and the technology was confiscated, and just being used today by a civilian populace.
My proposal is this; Dual Universe should have a manner of wireless electricity, at the very least for lower, planetary voltages for cities. We already have this technology today, so it wouldn't be too large a step in order to implement it on a large scale in the far future.
Just a thought~
