One idea is to require the account be a week old or a backer to join/make a corp. It would not get ride of the problem but people just doing it for the lolz probably won't want to wait a week.

To late In my opinion people should not be able to make that many alts, it clutters the community portal. And that tiny bit of OCD in all of use is getting to me . Edit: LOL, they do not have pitch forks my bad.

I remember them saying somewhere to expect the next dev dairy between 3/6 and 3/10. But I may be wrong. Edit: The comment was about how the video is going to be delayed because of GDC. Can not seem to find it though.

My Idea was to make them a voxel material. So you can make the landing gear what ever shape you want. Another idea is to make a way to magnetize all kinds of metal. Like a electromagnet. The only problem is that not all materials are magnetic so they can stick to it. So they would need some lore work around. Also I just realized we have never been shown landing gear so we don't even know if they are planned.

I would like to add that I am more worried about the spawn area. The spawn will have a much higher density of players digging in the same area. A good example of this is 2b2t.org a 6 year old Minecraft anarchy server. It only looks like this for a few km but its the first thing players see when they join. . Edit: Remember a minecraft world is larger then a planet yet the spawn still looks like this.

They could make a magnetic material that can be toggled. That way people could make more custom landing gear. Edit: So like it would stick to anything.

Wow so much hate for the game. I mean not over hyping is good, but out right bashing a game that you know nothing about just because some other game that shall not be named was bad is not. So sad :'(.
