  1. When this game wants a monthly Subscribefee, it`s done for me.

I am willing to pay 60 euro or a bit more for a REAL GOOD (No No Mans sky was not 60 dollar worth) game.

But I *beeb* pay no rent for my games.

So you're saying you would pay 60 euro for a good game, but wouldn't pay (for example) a monthly fee of 5 euro for continued support of the devs and server costs?

Maybe you get a bit bored of the game as you feel you've seen all that Dual Universe has to offer for you, the game then sits there on your digital bookshelf...

But then in say 12 months time if/when the devs release a DLC or Expansion with more elements and new features for another 60 euro, you would be willing to pay for that again for more content?

With the info above just work out how much it would cost you to play the game by buying it outright vs monthly sub (which you can cancel anytime you wish)

  2. So long as there are sort of hinge/ball joint or even motors to work with then we'll be able to script everything in between and have big mech suits.

Sounds like a challenge to me! :)

  3. Yeah that would be good, little changes in the colour/tint or making it shine a little more gives more variety in game. For example just combining a little copper with iron could give it a brownish tint, not necessarily give it any improvements, but give different appearances for different people/groups.

The actually increase in stats (if any) could be minimal to not make super weapons, but could just give someone the edge over their opponents. Gives a little bonus to the people who have worked hard finding rare resources through the galaxy :)

  4. I'd have thought something like this would have more of an impact with Weapons and Armour.

Combining different elements/resources to create lighter more agile suits with the trade of for strength and vise-versa.

With the deposits being sparse and hard to find it would cost a hell of a lot to build an entire ships hull out of rare ores/elements.

  5. In always liked the idea of having 2 types of inventory systems; A basic one when you put all items in and leave them there (just like Minecraft) but everyone has access to it so you have to be weary of who you let into your house/structures, etc.

And second to have a sort of limited (maybe 20 items or so) bank/safey deposit box so you can keep money or other very valuable things in.

You have to think of a balance because it's still a game at the end of the day. I don't want to sink 30 hours in and gather thousands of resources just for someone to turn around and stab me in the back and steal everything. I think I'd rage quit :P

On a side note I'd hate the idea of "insta-teleport-items" from one ship to the other. That just feels a cheap and nasty way of going around a problem and breaks immersion in my opinion.

You can have the pipes connecting (how ever small) and say they are transporting data via some sort of fiber optic cable, sort of a data/matter transporter. At least it adds more functionality and problems to overcome.

I like the idea of conveyor systems and being able to see it moving into the ship though :)

  6. Terraforming doesn't make sense in a 'serious' type of game like this. Something like Spore it does, but now DU.

You want the different types of planets to visit and deal with the harsh environments. I know I'd like the challenge :)

  7. The HUD might already be customisable either through drag and drop boxes or LUA to show system/ship stats and all sorts of info. Until the games gets closer to Alpha or Beta we won't know.

If anything the only client side mods that could happen is a ReShade/SweetFX mod, but you probably wouldn't need it anyway :)
