1st : no name, inspired by... a Doritos xD Fighter

2nd, 3rd and 4th : Articuno (more manoeuvrable), Moltres (with more weapons) and Zapdos (faster) [yes my designs are just ugly] Fighters

5th : StableMan (other idea of name : Lugia) : bigger ship, stable, fast (I hope), manoeuvrable (same thing), and with more weapons than the three "legendary birds"

Yes I was inspired by Pokemon xDDD But I throught these legendary pokemons are like gods and will be scary for our enemies lol

  2. This post is for DEIMOS CORP MEMBERS so I will make only a french version, please forgive me if you can't understand this language, and hope Google Translate will work good :)

  3. OH, I get it, you meant like a GREAT ship.

Well, in my opinion, there won't be something like "the best ship" in the game. Every ship will have strengths and tactics that go along with it. Which is why I'm fascinated with the endless possibilities that provides. You can have a tank of a ship, or a really nimble one that is like a ninja. Who knows? :P

Yes, and everything depends on the type of gameplay the ship is used for : for example, we can have a big and slow ship for destroying, or a smaller and faster for infiltration.
  4. Care to explain how a huge ship will be slim and move through small areas? >_>

Also, given some quotes by the devs, gravity is a thing in the game. So, making a ship that lands in a planet's surface might NOT be the best idea if you go for huge builds, since, you know, you'll need huge thrusters for vertical take off.

I think my (bad) English didn't work very well :/

The thing I wanted to describe "huge" isn't the ship but his stability.

But thank you for your answer :)

  5. What style of spaceship will I build ?

Like in Robocraft, I will think before anything else of one HUGE thing :

STABILITY, STABILITY, STABILITY, STABILITY, STABILITY, STABILITY, STABILITY, STABILITY, STABILITY, STABILITY

Then I will look for maneuverability, and thrust. But the ship has to be thin to move in small areas. And of course, it has to look cool :D

    I think it's a good description of how I will build/buy my ships :)

  6. It will be interesting to see how they solve this.

I think it would still be possible for terrain to heal itself over time for the sake of aesthetics and still have resources be depleted.

Landmark does something along those lines but on a much smaller scale. Resources like minerals spawn proceduraly and won't necessarily respawn in the exact same spot for quite a while.

I think it might be fine for resources like minerals to never respawn and things like trees and plants to take a long time or maybe require cultivation eventually. So as the population on a planet increases it would eventually require resources from other planets to continue to grow.

It would be cool if changes didn't heal in the exact same way, or were eroded in some way. But with permanent change from mining and no erosion i'm afraid the worlds would basically all end up looking like swiss cheese.

And what if the players have dug to build a city in the hole ? And it's not realistic.

I think regrowing grass could be an idea, like on old coal "towers" (I didn't find the right word sorry) in the north of France who were black at the beginnig and now green because grass has grown. The landscape stay shaped but not ugly.

  7. @cybermanu

Tiens je ne suis pas le seul à faire des messages de 3km de temps en temps xD

C'est vrai que c'est (un peu) dommage qu'il n'y ait pas de section dédiée aux topics en français mais bon après chaque langue voudra ça :/

  8. This is good for finding people in general, but it's harder to find someone met in the forum (or anywhere out of the game) to make things together.

For that, there are two different possibilities I found (but I think there are others) :

    - friend system with direction and distance of the location of your friends ?

    - "invite code" for new players, making them appear next to their friend who has generated and given the code, or next to their friend's Arkship ?

    - something else ?
