Is the cone for scanning too random? (mining unit)

I put my finger on too risky calibrations with the scan cone tool. is it voluntary?

 

The peak of minerals is often off the mark and a charge is quite often wasted for 100% harvest.

Yes, no big deal to reach the 100% calibration, but thin, the amount of ore harvested from the ground, manually, by holding the left mouse click (misery) is not at all negligible. It is therefore a dead loss, especially for new players who will flee by paying millions in taxes.

Thats not how the cone works my friend.

When you place the cone there is a circle.  The cone only tells the direction of the highest ore concentration within that circle and not the entire hex.  Dont feel bad, a large portion of the player base thought as you did.
