  1. SONNTAG, 4.
  2. https://lgfrbcsgo.github.io/du-factory-generator/ Given a set of items, the number of assemblers producing each item, and the quantity to maintain in the output containers, this tool will generate a full production line from ores to the requested items. The designed factory plan will ensure that all production rates are satisfied, so that the factory will run at full capacity. Each item type is stored in an individual container so that factory monitor scripts can monitor their contents. Here is an example factory plan, where one assembler was requested for Container L, Nitron Fuel,
  3. Please make a setting to hide the hand tools, they are obstructing the view. We really need an option to hide them.
  4. (Posted Friday 19th of February 2016 on the DevBlog) In the past few weeks Dual Universe has been on occasion described as being mainly a PvP MMO. However Dual Universe is so much more than this: it has a rich "Builder" gameplay at its core, which is rather new in the MMO genre (at least at this scale). Specifically, this gameplay is not just a kind of single player experience added on top of a MMO, but takes an entirely new dimension because of the fact that you are building within a MMO that takes the word "massive" seriously. This is a crucial aspect, and
  5. voxel tool: Add differents color's icon in function of type of tool Exemples: Blue = Engineer tools, Green = explorer tools, Yellow = Builder tools,
  6. Hi! I'm just wondering if we'll have tools within the voxel system to make bent surfaces/faces/lines. For times you want to make a ship that looks very curvy, you'd want to actually bend the voxels with a system rather than try to cobble together loads of straight lines yourself. Example: You want an arching column (a "parabola") over the top of your ship. You want it to look like a perfect arch and for it to be easy to do ideally. From all I've seen so far, you'd need to just build lots and lots of straight cuboids to build the shape. What i'd quite like to see is having a 3 point vector
  7. I am very proud to introduce the latest product from Evil, Inc! We have been working to develop tools that benefit the community, and the first such tool is a new data tracking website for Dual Universe at www.du-stats.com This site will function very much like zkillboard.com does for EVE Online. Right now it is very basic and only shows a map of the community. This will expand as time goes on with new features coming online over time. Most of the back end tools have already been built and feature development is now more a matter of web design than anything else! Upcoming features incl
  8. Here's my list of top things I'd like to see in the game regarding building. 1 It'd be nice if we could have a way to set the X,Y,Z dimensions of a voxel shape we are going to deploy. You know, rather than counting by 25cm increments until I get to 1600m x 890m x 530m for my Star Destroyer. Seems that could be tedious. 2 It'd be nice to be able to have a map of my ship I am making; its internal elements and internal voxel structure. Otherwise I think I could get lost inside my ship while I'm building it. ; ) I'd like to see a few dynamic elements added - 3 A
  9. So i was thinking, in many science fiction books/games/films there are always many bio-technological implants or gadgets that after one injection or augmentation are then permanent part of your body, like Infra-red camera directly to your eye so then you can see in darkness or muscle strengthening to make you jump higher etc. I thought it would be great to have at least some possibilities to do things like that in DU
  10. Excuse me if a topic like this has popper up before. So the Nanoformer will be our lifeline, mining and harvesting resources we need. What I want to know is how modular it will or should be? I'm hoping we can upgrade our tool in a myriad of different ways to get the best set up and mine our resources the fastest. Another idea is other tools. For example you have Starbound, and the Matter Manipulator which is what seems to be a lot like the Nanoformer. But Starbound also had the different tools (picks, axes, and the like) that were straight upgrades to the MM but had durability. Do
