  1. Hey comrades of DU! I've been think about two things lately, which I am not sure if anyone ever talk about it. So in case one of these topics have been discuessed already I would be happy to be redirected to there Anyways first and short question. Will we be able to build ground vehicles like any kind of cars, drilling cars and such? (What if the ressources of a planet go empty?) Secound and more important topic: I wounder how fleets will be coordinated. Since I am a long time eve player I would love to see a way to coordinated every pilot in the same fleet. There for I thought about a very tanky command ship which has somewhat of a "command-module" that provides the fleet commander a 3D or top view of the surrounding area. On this Map or view he can select targets which will be shown for the other fighter pilots in his fleets. I dont want to go much deeper into this just right now because i am curious with what idea you guys come up Nevertheless I think the command modul should be expansive and use a lot of energy. So the ship cant really carry guns just a lot of armor. So the command ship will be the backbone of any fleet but will be helpless without his fleet.   6. As a certain experiensed stellaris player, I know that you need the whole pop armies of 2 planets to conqure another one. However Dual isnt stellaris How would you conqure an already oqupied planet?

The corporation is controlled by the CEO and a Council of three directors. Corporate assets are divided into three main branches; each responsible for a major aspect of Corporate operations, and manned by specialists with appropriate skills. Each branch is independent to a degree as each is controlled by one of the three directors, but ultimately answer to the CEO. The branches are: Objective Navy: As the military branch, the Navy is responsible for protecting Corporate interests from external threats. The Navy is lead by the Strategos, one of the members of the Corporate Council and the highest ranking officer within the fleet. The Navy controls the majority of the Corporate Fleet, and draws from Corporate personnel with skills particular to any and all aspects of combat. These roles can include: Pilot - Pilot specializing in either strike craft or larger warships. Commander - Officer in command of a large, crewed warship. Crew - Entry level warship crew, manning the critical stations on larger vessels. Security - Infantry unit skilled in ground combat. Combat Engineer - Field engineer skilled in building/repairing constructs in combat situations. Intelligence Agent - *REDACTED* Objective Industries: The circulatory and digestive system of the Corporation, controlled by a Director who is part of the Corporate Council. This branch is responsible for mining and refining raw materials, manufacturing components and equipment, and ultimately constructing ships. While the Navy controls most of the Corporate fleet, Indi Ops controls most of the Corporate shipyards. Ships and equipment produced by this branch are first researched and designed by the R&D branch. Indi Ops can also manufacture hulls and equipment to be sold on contract to other factions. Indi Ops personnel fill the follow roles: Miner - Raw resource extraction. Technician - Refining and manufacturing. Engineer - Industrial construction/development. Shipwright - Shipyard operation, starship construction. Objective Dynamics (R&D: The scientific branch of the Corporation, lead by a head Technocrat who is part of the Corporate Council. This branch develops tech and designs blueprints, conducts exploration, and tech mining. Blueprints can be designed on contract to be sold to other factions, or strictly for corporate use. Roles include: Researcher - Develops new designs and blueprints to be tested and refined. Explorer - Lone wolf pilots looking to explore under a Corporate Charter. Tech Agent - Specialist skilled in capturing and reverse-engineering tech and blueprints. Recruitment O.D.Y. is currently recruiting players interested in flying under a Corporate Charter, and eventually becoming full members.   8. Hello again, friends, today I want to pose another mind racking question to you all. The viability of carrier combat in sci-fi games. Here is the dilemma. a carrier is a ship that houses several smaller ships, or even a squadron or two of fighters or bombers. How can you make a ship like that viable against a battleship with railguns or some other crazy sci fi weapon. 1.) how do we as players prevent the loss of our valuable asset, Pilots. and prevent sending them to a resurrection node I believe the answer rests in two areas. 1.) Carriers will have alot of defense, heavy shields and heavy armor. they wont mount many guns and so they'll have more power / more modules for shields. 2.) Drone ships, take the flight seat from a fighter ship and put it on the bridge of the carrier. Now your fighter pilot gains the added security of the ship and defense of any Space Marines guarding his body. While he pilots a drone ship in nearby space. think of the possibilities of faster movements the drone ships could make on players that design standard fighters. ((If they implement any kind of G force limits to human bodies))but even if not then the ships could have smaller profiles by design since there is no human inside of them, just a communicator, maybe it uses some kind of sub space channel for nearly instant communication with the pilot. It makes the carrier themselves a huge target, instead of the fighter ship having the same value of destruction as the carrier. because all the players will be inside the carrier. More fleet possibilities? Consider yourselves lucky my criminal mind wanted to keep this concept all for itself to gain a advantage in a few early wars, That said I would really like to hear what anyone thinks about this or anything similar
