  1. But ... but we got star gate isnt it ? I thought the only way to go to another star system is go though the Star Gate which is very expensive according to NQ, it suppose only big organization can get it but still hard for them to build on. So i think we dont have much called the 2 side of universe and will long distance make hard to contact even 10 year later.

    But i like the idea you will die at far far away from the spawn and then some day, another people will find your ship which abandon, lonely, float in the space and history about you with that ship, hmm yeah it make me feel excited. Like find a ship which make in 2019 when you are in 2027 =]].

     

    So we may got the Star war scenario but i dont think DU will big or information will be so late that will take 4 day to a week to get it.

    Dont think Lua script is mighty, if it can they can create a Battle ship with one crew, NQ have already confirm it, automatic but it have it limit not to break the game. And about the mining sure it is.

    And also the video which @Felonu give me here also saying about it and transcript in the description also link to this saying no AUTOMATION. And what i read about for 1 year, seem like automation will best use for def , but that still unknow until alpha/beta stage but they have confirm that way.

    It claim by NQ official forum account so will it true =.=, you can see there is no word talk about automate but do you think automated will balace for the beginer ? who only have one job when they in the game after the release where all Organization all control properly ?

    If you can measure the distance between constructs precisly, you can build mining drones, as long as there are mining drills / laser for constructs, which I'm sure will be.

    So you would only need to manually mine at the beginning of your game, like in a survival game (at that stage it will most likely be a survival game for you...).

     

    And if you can build mining drones, you can build mining stations. More expensive and stationary, but can be protected better.

     

    IT also depend on what "grinding" meaning for you. Not all grinding is 'look at a rock and mine it' no, there are lot of way to obtain resource, money, thing not only mine, all so you want to get fame and you do thing to get it isnt is grinding ? That called Organization or called team working, if you work with team everything sure fun, 'grinding' with other people at a same place, haa i will be pretty feel happy that not only me so lonely down there, in deep of the mine. Only solo people will thinking 'grinding' is boring as suck ( i do solo in some game may called 'MMO' like MapleStory, shit grindding a lone in a map make me feel so sad.). And all you do to get one common goal, though the sorrow and happy you will not find it boring.

    And you say why it not automate mining, yeb that is why i know you are 'solo' player who dont want to rely on other but on yourself. As i say NQ say that they dont want automate miner because it make the new player have no job because the people like you who only want to do all thing yourself, i bet if you can you will want to control a battle ship alone not with crew.

    And also this is not survival game, IT IS MMO, SANDBOX. And the goal of the game is? You create it, no goal which NQ give you, you create the final goal yourself. They just have sologan that ' REBUILD CIVILIZATION TOGETHER' not one man army =]].

    So at the final i still surprise you got gold pledge.

So I dont think the idea 'hack' your own brain or script your implant in your head will be real. It would like we will use some device to hack the console or connect to it by interact with a device using for hacking.


    About the hide or change your name, i would suggest a skill but need a device to active it and will have cooldown, no? It all about camoflag, hide your name thought other eye or change it, illusion it a bit. 

     

    But after all we still have to wait to know.  What kind of hacking will NQ give us

     

  8. after all PvE is boring as suck, it just like some kind of grinding again. Solo ppl usually choose PvE because of course they are solo, not some kind of solo in anime where you can vs entire country. In DU they are just money bag can move for the pirate. Of course not all Solo is bad but it is rarely. Yeah we should force them social and work in Org :)

    This reminds me of a lot of strategic games and some RPG's and MMO's . You control a Hex / land area and even if you do not control the lands connected to your hex / land it still falls under your sphere of influence ! This works great in strategic / tactical games and could be used to keep a rival organization from putting up a fortress near your cities or bases ! I know some or all ready thinking that might be to over powered but its really simple in that the  sphere of influence doesn't keep some one from building next to you but makes it very costly so now you say how do I get around that if I am a ally or contractor working for that organization ? The organization simple has a function in there world map where they can drop the sphere of influence for that adjacent hex or use a contract and rights type system so now you are part of there group while still being your own 

    nah that system still overpower and boring, why ? lets me say, the only thing you will do to farm resource day and night to upgrade it and because it cost so much so it will hard and balance right ? Nah , it will make the game boring as suck when all you have to do is grinding, Dev say they want to give us Emergent game play not grinding simulation game play. 

     

    Why i say it is grinding game play? Because all you do is protect your central hub and grinding resource, nothing else. And protect one hub is easy than protect every tile I corret ? And from that it will make you so overpower by cower in your fortress. No emergent here.

     

    Also the feeling of choose which position in side the tile to place your hub, tatic land, and build nice protect to your hub. This feeling cant have when you only got a central hub where you dont have to think about anything than protect your only hub and grinding.

     

    Also it is overpower, because the only thing you can do to claim a land which central range have cover is attacking the central hub which of course all their mighty will gather there. Instead the more they expand the thiner their military force can cover, they all have to do is stick inside their fortress.

     

    So that is why I only agree with one part of his idea is we should have a central claim hub but not expand by upgrade but have small claim hub connect to it to working normal or I say maintain.

  11. Well you will see at the begining of the game, you will feel the peace everywhere, everyone help each other to rebuild CIVILIZATION and you found it might be boring as suck.

    But dont worry when people dont have a common enemy ( starve, poor, ...) and get wealth then it is the end of the stage called begining and war sure broke out, first will small conflict over rare resource deposit but it sure will get big when the resource is hard to find and people are getting greed in power and resource once they got enough man power and resource to expand their military.

    And then betrayer, civil war, ... will sure to happend.

    Yeah event with large wil lhappen soon but just not at the begining :) where people have to find resource day and night.

    Your addition idea is good it make me want to add it to somepoint. My idea which change alittle from your idea that a central claim hub with small hub which only can claim surround area of central and so on. But to prevent a Org occupied a planet with only one central hub i suggest that the cost to maintain will add maintain cost for small claim hub will increase when more small claim connect to central until it is an enourmous number. example your first small claim hub will increase the maintain cost like 10, and next one will increase 13 , and next one will increase 16 , and next one will increase 21, and next will increase 26, and so on ... to some extent the cost to maintain will be rediculous make them to build another expensive central hub to expand. It just like a city with domain around under it control, the more land it control the more cost it is. So it will create for us a lot city when each central claim hub is a fortress .

    The Xray device is a cool idea, but it seems like it would add unnecessary complexity for Novaquark to develop and implement in the game. An having the ability to see into someones inventory, is functionality that just begging to be abused.


    The Metal Detector is a cool idea, but I would make it able to detect weapons, not just metal. basically an Element that if a player walks through, it will sound an alarm if they are carrying any weapons. An give the ability to specify which kind of weapons would trigger it. so like it can be set to only trigger if a person has a firearm, but not if they have proximity mines.


    I do not support any form of hacking, its basically a system that will be abused. Giving players to much access to elements in the game, and other functionality, is an open door for Trolls. Novaquark will have enough to deal with in terms of blocking Cheaters and Bots trying to abuse the game. Also, hacking cuts off certain gameplay mechanics to none programming players, and JC has been clear that scripting is meant to add to the gameplay, not cut it off to certain players.


    I still like the original idea presented by @Cronael , there is already a detection field type device in the game. All Novaquark has to do is make it able to detect when weapons pass through. This works best because you can link it to other elements, and have it act as a trigger. Example, link weapon detection field to an energy bridge, when a player with a weapon passes through, the energy field activates blocking there path.
    Weapon detection field can have so many good uses in the game.

    first : about xray or similiar, it not give you complete image of ppl inventory, just a part or a bit curruption make you hard to see the item icon. Here we will got skill, it will make your inventory more curruption image make it harder to recognize your item/resource/stuff image and with skill you may unlock camoflag for it mean fake item image. I know it may be use to abuse but so after consider cons and pros i still suggest this. Everything can abuse you know ? So it just aboit cons and pros when add it. But i hopeful to see another change to my idea to make it more balance.

    second : about weapon detector i think it is abuse and i dont know how it will work ?, shape of item then judge it hmm nah. you know weapon are always in riduculous shape ? The only common in them is metal, sometime it not made from metal but then here is xray or similar come in handy.

     

    So xray or similar and metal detector will work together and help each other not alone using.

The A.i. dueing the thousnads of years of travel, only have to evolve its programming, find new ways of securing its code and to anticipate for all angles of attack. for referrence, the 0 and 1 field of math, known as Boolean Algebra, was developed in 1854. It took almost 89 years before it was made into the first computer and it was primarily used for proving or disproving the logic of any problem in math, before computers were invented. 

    The A.I. Elon Musk's company made for fighting 1vs1 against the best DOTA players, trained itself by fighting against itelf. That's part of MACHINE LEARNING, a field of computer studies on making an AI able to find flaws in its logic and writing its own code to fix that problem.

    The same thing can go down in DU. Humans are clever, but AIs are machines, they don't sleep, they don't get tired, and they had 8000+ years of MACHINE LEARNING to get impregnable to any attack. The A.I. that beat all best DOTA players in 1vs1? It only had 6 months to leanr how to play, and DOTA, is hard, but in the end, it's just mathematics. You have a certain number of things yo ucan do, and so do in code.

    You can try ANY attack on the Arkship A.I. , "Aphelia", it won't work, it has literally calculated any scenario and has developed a defense for any possible attack.

    I agree with your thought, 500 year will create something new... so AI will be invincible but i suggest it still should be passive data base which you can only download and it already help us by the skill system and it maybe still stay and keep watching ?

    also about the idea hacking implant ... as i say it like the code which make the AI, the lost , legacy code which make from the golden time of humanity in technology. And bla bla to prevent some grifer do something to the ship the gov delete it away from the data base to prevent future damage. So it is a relic and so do the implant, we cant open it open or access to it because it was made from forgotten code/technology or even is secret technology of the humanity in the last moment before the event so we cant do anything to it. We will create a code for our machine, computer bla bla bla so we can only hack the machine, computer which product and code by our technology at the moment.

    It will be the happy for everyone, because hacking implant will sure BROKEN .

    In the end i think the idea 'read your thought' , 'hacking your implant' shouldnt be in game. Because i will called the program, code inside implant or AI is the relic, or legacy of the golden time of humanity on earth. And after that 'tragedy' those information have been lost forever and data base dont have it because the government dont want anytone will do strange thing to the ship so they have erase it from the beginning. 


    So if we can hack, it only hack other player stuff, which player craft because it been made by human now time technology not the 'relic' code. So do the implant because it contain soemthing to stop people access to it...


    IF not it will become abuse for real, i can think about a lot abuse when it is true you can hack your implant in your head =.=.

    The term hacking, in this context, is the process of overcoming the security of a system and therefore gaining acces to or control over it (partly or complete).

    Nobody can claim that you can’t hack an ai, because there is no ai at the moment and humanity just don’t know how it will work.

    If the ai is just software, then it is most likely hackable. If done correctly a computer (and the user) don’t know that it’s hacked or running injected software, the same would go for an ai, if it build like a operation system (which again, we don’t know if that would be the case).

    Do you know that you are acting in your own, free will? You will most likely say yes, but that’s not a proof ;) 

     

     

    i'm not having so much time to research but still find it curious. And about the term hacking yes still make me feel dizzy. MY thought about it only learning from Holyweed @,@.

     

    And the AI still make me curious so i have idea that it just a passive data storage or just passive. If it can learn it just an END :)
