  1. Greetings fellow COPS mates!

As Captain Kiklix here said, we're an umbrella organisation with smaller ones within, such as my Astrum Enterprises. I'm a free spirit, but I also like a good tight-knit group of friends who love to build, explore, and make the most of their gaming experience, who you can rely on for friendly comradeship in times of need.

    edited for name change.

  2. Super cool stuff. Really impressed with the detail and quality the Novaquark team are putting these items. Tells me they mean business and also want this game to knock socks off.

I wonder how easy or hard it will be to obtain or make things like the holotable.

that holo table looks pretty cool, i wonder if its going to be interactive. and i wonder if has to be setup on a planet or if we can put them in our captial ships and have it display what ever planet we happen to be orbiting.

Hoping for interactivity as well. I love props that are decorative but with some degree of functionality too if possible.

  3. I voted against, just because I feel unless a game is designed to allow a single player to have so much advantage/power, whether it be for combat, harvesting or any other activity, then I don't think it's fair to other people who don't participate in doing that and play the game as intended.

Ultimately though it's up to the devs, but personally I prefer a game be played as it was designed to be experienced.

  4. I voted for the body to fade away, although I do like the cryo-bed idea, but making it a point of resurrection like Minecraft beds definitely appeals to me. I wonder if the Ark itself will serve that purpose, though it depends on far away from an Ark you are. Portable rez maybe a necessity.

That said, I think for ease of logout, I say the fade away/disappear route.

  5. I have faith in NovaQuark too, their professionalism really comes across to me. I had some doubts regarding SOE, now Daybreak's ambitions for working on two games at the same time, but thankfully this isn't the case here. Here we have one game, and an obviously strong vision as to what the game is about, and where it is heading over the coming year.

It's also far too early to be concerned about anything. It's always tempting to want a new game to become the better version of an old game, but we've got to appreciate Dual Universe is it's own game, and remember it's still pre-alpha. Very early days.

Let's just give support and be excited about what's to come.

  6. If safe zones can only be made safe with defence weapons and systems we build, then I'm ok with that as long as a basic defence system is fairly easy to build, because a lot of people won't feel happy risking being ganked all the time. What I personally find at times with PvP, in certain games, the kill-everything-that-moves approach works for me in some games, but in other games I'd prefer people to really only use that for good reasons, such as self-defence, or planned guild/organisational conquests.

There will be times I'm out for "blood" and there will be times I really want to focus on building up my base, or my ship, or working out various technologies.
