  1. Welcome. There are many sites and sights to see, from what I've seen; so have at it. Also, Stellaris - is good.
  2. Well, I know that; I'm just confused as to why. Midnight-me may've known - but the info's already on the org-posts and publicized, so his motives elude me. Also; did try to edit to try and upload the images, but just got that little picture icon.
  3. Note: It's been a while since I've looked at the U.E. and D.U. in general (that and it's a slow Sunday), So I've taken away some time to finish a post I didn't finish, and also to declassify a design based on that post (the post was on the U.E.'s use of drones to conserve manpower). [Probably will go quiet again soon, but will try to prove my continued living on occassion] Pictures: can also be found in the Steam Workshop through clicking "Steam Workshop." (as represented in Space Engineers). The Design: Mark I. Triclops (V1 & V2) The M1 Triclops is based on Imperial Naval Doctrine applied to the new addition of automation & programming, meant to be pilot-able long-range, high-G strikecraft, armed with heavier weapons, armor, engines and capabilities at the cost of maneuverability. (++Bombing, -Dogfighting) This design being for the purpose of crippling enemy ship-systems (such as engines) or being able to focus fire center-mass on enemy fighters (tearing them to shreds), hypothetically by accelerated as to pass the enemy vessel, then tilting as to bring weapons to bear as they passed by. The ship comes with 3 Cameras and 3 Command Systems (2 Redundancies) throughout its chassis, with additional redundancies to communications and maneuvering thrusters/gyros. Technically, this makes it possible to have the ship still be capable of basic flight and combat (though to a much decreased standard) if it were blasted in two, as represented in engine-placement in Space Engineers.   4. The morality question is pretty hampered by the fact that this game includes respawns - which means killing doesn't have any real consequence aside from mild inconvenience. The aim in DU warfare should be to minimize enemy strategic resources and maximize one's own in the fighting; killing them won't do this, so I wouldn't. Rather, I would leave them there or if resources permit, relocate them to some barren area and maybe use that space or planet/moon as a stockade; which would better delay their return to the fight, as for the former they would need to wait for rescue and on the latter that rescue itself would be delayed - decreasing available enemy resources as was the point to begin with. Aside from the respawn bit, good question.
  5. Update: New Post added to the Organization page --- Member-State system officially opened (publicly/unrestricted) as well as basic rules of the system. Further details committed to a new Discord Server (work in progress).

Yeah, its expected for there to be definitely more Empires around in the future, though the United Empire would act more like a federalized HRE than say the centralized French or German Empires; Also: the use of "United Empire of Humanity" can be best explained as a necessity of marketing; because most, if not all, organizations that would join - could reliably identify as 'Human" if holding nothing else in common. Also an Update: opened the Member-State system with some outgoing messages; some general purpose, some tailor-made - going to see how it pans out.

  8. Good morning, afternoon, evening; or really whatever time it is for you. I am Emperor Octavian Marcus of the United Empire of Humanity and I have posted this topic in an effort to recruit you. Why? - it's a tad obvious, the U.E. is a recent addition; only now ready to fly - and quite frankly, it needs people; like a clock needs gears to tick, it needs you to be a part of it for it to function. What? - is the United Empire? - officially, an initiative to bind many smaller organizations into a bigger government, exploiting efficient bureaucracy and with it, effective organization in order to produce sufficient defense of those within from those without. You can choose to ignore these italics or read them, merely here as bonus information: The reasoning being based in political realism + what will happen the moment the game is released; Great powers like the Terran Union and Void Republic, being great powers - will inevitably compete as to maximize their own survival however direct competition often involves massive wars (a far too expensive solution) | therefore it is inevitable that these Great Powers will seek the resources and manpower held by us smaller factions instead - meaning we either become their puppets if we concede or become their servants if we don't (as they will then take those resources from us by force). But, why should you care for this little initiative? - I could tell you all that the others have: "you'll be part of something bigger, live in an org with serious ideals and an intent to keep them, you will be happy with us." <-- some of it being true, though mostly hollow promises. What I can offer you is this: Protection from piracy, the right to what you have earned, a life - if in accordance with the law - relatively free and above all; a system of government designed for efficiency, not politics; survival, not ideals; strength, not weakness; realism, not ideology.
