Yeah UO was the same, the first unofficial server was ripped from the UO offline demo that a group discovered.
The legal battles continued, but after a while when the next set of servers came out which was all written from scratch and open source so there wasn't anything they could do about them to be honest.
I still have a small place in my heart for UO ????

The only thing it means is that we might have some more players migrating to DU if they do close down EQ as well
It is a shame that they won't release the source code to the public now. At least with Ultima Online they're not bothered about the player run servers anymore so people can happily do what they want with them in their own little communities for forever and a day -
£26 + P&P from USA? Would be cheaper to but a plain white tee and print it myself unfortunately!

Yeah this conversation is fairly pointless without some system specs. Whats the point in getting a 4k laptop if the GPU can't fully handle it above medium settings?
I'd rather pick a 1080p laptop which can run everything on ultra, rather than a 4k that can only manage medium. (With the same physical screen size)

Don't forget auto-update (both a gift and a curse)
DU is a MMO...you HAVE to update to be able to play, everyone is required to use the newest version of the game.

NQ won't allow players up upload any form of music of media to DU for one reason, copywriter.
Even if you say that you have made it (you have the rights to it) specially for DU it would still be a no, NQ would have to check every song and sample independently to make sure there is no copywriter infringement.
An in-game editor would be cool though, but it would probably be included after the game has gone Gold. I doubt it's anywhere near the top of the devs to-do list.

Please keep the light grey colour of the space suit, it looks awesome! Looks more space age and lightens the game up a lot...black suits are very meh

I think as a must there needs to be:
1. Replenishable resources: Tree growing/Farming
2. Moving parts: joints, rotors and pistons
3. CvC
InGame voice chat would be nice and all but it will be just as easy to use Discord/etc to do it for now. It's not something that's needed straight away, if at all.

I'd assume you would be able to swap and change different parts of the space suit for appearance and functionality....and add a magnificent cape!

If they implemented a camera system like Skyrim where you can zoom in and out from First Person to Third Person, also orbiting around the character would be cool!
Elite Dangerous also has a great idea where you basically go into a photo shoot mode. It disables all the UI and let's you move and rotate the camera freely to look around your ship and the environment. You can get some amazing screenshots!

It has already been said that NPCs will be around the Ark Ship at the start with basic 'gather resources' quests to build up and jump start the economy, then it's all up to us!

The whole bounty system is part of the punishment for the killers to make it harder for them to move around after they have committed murder.

Technically your right, but also wrong. You can always gather (or trade) resources on other plants and call the most beautiful planet with no resources your home.
I preference forest and mountains, with a bits of snow...basically earth
