  1. You said that you wouldn't be surprised if 100% is on a 75% cases. Mine is better than this. But you are just guessing. I don't like the system and not only is boring and repetitive but also make you lose time this is for sure. Territory scanning that is just luck yes. But this one if you use some technique you can get some result
  2. Sorry but if you claimed that the rate it is not that high and that it is just luck then it is not an illusion because I obtain better results
  3. Actually I use a technique that in most cases make me reach 90% or above (from the second calibration on the first one is not possible). The method I use is pretty simple. I place a first cone on a side. The second cone just after the edge of the area of higher intensity of the previous one if it point in the direction of the previous one I check that area otherwise I keep moving in the direction of high intensity. Rarely I had to use the other tools. In this way most of the time I get high rate. More difficult is when the territory it is not that reach of the ore you are looking for. But I could get more than 90% even with just about 50 l/h ores. But yes it is boring and it takes time. Now I only placed 3 mining site but these means I placed 14 mining units... also travelling time and expenses are not really covered when you are mining T1 ores that are the only one i found
  4. @NQ you really need to review some mechanics here to let single players be competitive. You need to have a progressive taxation that is very small for few territories and grows for each territory someone gets on a planet/moon. Only in this way you can achieve what you said was the purpose to avoid players or orgs to have too many Territories because only in this way a territory can't (as you declared) repay itself just mining it. You need to review the asteroid mining. The asteroids cannot spawn all together on weekend, you penalize who can't play on weekend, they need to spawn randomly at any time in any day. You can't reveal an asteroid as soon as a player approaches it, you don't give chance to this player to get anything since someone else will arrive in short time to the asteroid. Single players again are screwed. You cannot deny a player to warp away if has been attacked by someone it is unrealistic and a clear intention from your side to give "food" to those play just for pvp... sorry I'm not interested in it, the pvp in this game is just horrible plus with all connection problems I'm not going to risk all I've for nothing because yes it is just nothing for a single player go to an asteroid out of e safe zone and not having the time to get anything. Said so I think the performances increase a bit but not because of the terrain but because now I can set max 30 construct, in fact at the market there was no digging stuff but many constructs and while before i almost couldn't move on them now I get less freezing time. Hope you listen what I wrote because I think can really make the difference in having players keep playing or having them gone. In the past year I worked a lot to have an industry and now with this mechanic I may not be able to run it for the type of material I need and can't get anymore. Buying all of them it doesn't make sense.
  5. The system how it is is weird. So NQ says that the system is to don't allow players to have too many Territories. NQ says that if you mine the territory it will be enough to repay it... If the second statement is true the first one is false. Of course if the taxes are not progressive in proportion with Territories on a planet owned they don't prevent anything or better to say they prevent single players to have many Territories because they will not have the slaves to take care of the mining units around the system. Also if most of the ores are going to be sold for taxes purposes what will be left to produce?
  6. Sea level is at 0m and this will not change, planets are going to be the same not bigger not smaller.
  7. Not new for me, I've my base on Alioth and it is just unplayable. I practically can't fly and if I do the game freezes for minutes but there is where I've everything. In these days I moved to Sanctuary to code some stuff and it is much better than Alioth.

  10. And need also to consider the investment to buy or produce mining units... they will be easy to buy? Big question mark. The bot that will buy the ores (that at this point can't almost use anymore to produce anything if they go away in taxes) will have what price? So NQ is dictating the market? I thought they didn't want.............
  11. To me it is evident they want to push the hamsters (players) on pvp may be to test it and improve it but honestly I'm not going to pvp in DU I'm against it's dynamic
  12. This is a bit too pessimistic. Performances yes, I don't think for the players will be a big change while for sure NQ reduce their cost a lot with less data to share. For example if you are on Alioth and you mine 300+m under the ground I didn't find much difference from mining an asteroid because you actually render very small things. Surface instead has constructs and terra forming that is actually what make the performances bad and this will be the same with Demeter and may be a bit improved when they will reduce the voxels complexity. Taxes are not pleasant for sure but on Sanctuary you don't pay them and you can have up to 5 HQ where you may not pay them if you don't need to make industries or mine. Well if you need it means you have to earn from them so you can pay the taxes. What for sure I don't appreciate is a non progressive taxation and that players can lose their stuff if for a while they want to take a pause from the game.
  13. Has not beed mentioned if the Headquarter can change during the game or once assigned it will not be possible to change it. I suggest to don't remove the ownership to a territory because a player didn't renew the subscription, this will be very bothering for those that want to take a break from th game and if they do they may not come back if they lose their stuff. Progressive taxes is the only real way to avoid players/organizations to get too many territories. If the amount of taxes will increase with the number of territories it will be more interesting to study which territory to keep and which not to keep since at one point they will not be able to "repay" their value. Different Planets/Moons should have separate taxation. I want to insist on the fact that some dynamic of Demeter are going to push players to be in PVP even if they don't desired, this is a very negative thing and that a ship can't warp away if under attack witho no possibilities of defences or that didn't counterattacked it is not realistic and is very unpleasant.
  14. I think I missed the part where they wishy washy a full wipe. That has been always excluded, some adjustments may happens instead like time ago the reset of the talents where they give points back (for some player even better reorganise them as game changes a bit) and now planets dirt where mining will not be anymore something even if I don't understand why they reset the mining talents saying are not needed anymore when the mining can still happen on Asteroids...
  15. But this common practice should be 2 ways not only one way that increases the price. Some region for the same principles should have a much lower price.

  17. Lately I had a lot of connection issues and this highlighted something. Most of the time I didn't have problems if I was underground at about 300m or more neither on Alioth but when approaching the surface a disaster. This means that the performances are affected a lot with what is on the surface of a planet and not really with what is under it. Terraforming, complex constructs lot of elements these will still be present in Demeter so I don't expect miracles on performances while instead it is true you get benefits from this reducing the amount of data the server needs to manage. Said so I've some big concern on how Demeter will work. Asteroids will be very populated but you don't give the same opportunities to everyone to mine them making them spawn at a fixed time during weekend. They must be spawn randomly. Also if someone approaches an asteroid this can't be revealed immediately because in not longer than 20 minutes someone can reach it and who doesn't want pvp now is obliged to find themselves in a situation where can't even warp away if his ship has been hit which is ridiculous. Why are you forcing this? To make those playing pvp happy so they have a target? The update is welcome but how it works not at all. Resources from the mining units are very limited. Another thing is that you said you added taxes to avoid players getting too many territories. Well this is going to happen anyway since you said mining the territory will repay the taxes so if you really want to avoid what you said you need to make taxes progressive at the point that a territory can't repay for them and players have to choose wisely which territory to get.

    Your answer is off topic. What I mentioned it is not only about what I want or how to do it but how the system works. At the actual state is a system where NQ is pushing people to do what they don't want to do and with Demeter update even more. I don't like how pvp in this game works and it is too expensive, you can't even use a warp drive if someone hit you which is ridiculous. Your "solution" marks the problem. Or you do in that way or don't do it which is very reductive. Talking around many players have the same feelings about this part of the game.

    Hello, I was surprised when I started to use the DSAT. I may understand that to give some gamplay the discovered of an asteroid will be, for some strange and not realistic reason, broadcasted after 2 hours since the player approach it. What I can't really appreciate is why has to be announced immediately to everyone that a particular asteroid has been approached. In this way in very short time you may have company. Who is coming to look for you don't even need to fly all the 5 WPs because at a distance of 2 Su can already detect you with a radar which means jumping probably the last 2 WPs. I find this really unpleasent above all for the solo players. With Demeter the asteroids will be probably very populated and you are pushing people to be in PVP to get resources (unless you are fine with the basics in the safe zone). Not only pushing people to be in PVP but also to be attacked within 20 minutes from the moment he/she touches the asteroid. In 20 minutes you can get a ridiculous little amount of ores even more if mining the higher tier which are pretty slow to extract. This will make the asteroids out of the Safe Zone not accessible and not convinient for players that are not interested in PVP. In this way you are reducing their capability in getting better resources which will be available only getting territories on outer planets. The other thing I don't agree at all is why has to be a fix timing for asteroids to spawn. Asteroids should spawn randomly at any time not based on weekend neither on Time Zone! May be many players have more time to play on weekend but not all. You need to give the same possibilities to everyone and not predelict only 1 category of players. Within hours the asteroids in the safe zone will be gone and only those out of the safe zone will be left. The players that can't play at your Time Zone in the weekend will be definitly disadvantaged.
  21. Hello, why for the LUA in the release notes has not been mentioned that the list coming out from the warp unit has been changed and the previous .errorMsg now becomes .textStatus? I expect any change in the code will be mentioned so that we can update our scripts. Also this update it seems to have problems, I get a lot of game freezing that end up in closing the game mostly when activating a Programming Board or when activating a control unit. To me it was unplayable and only got problems because as consequence the control unit I was using when this happened later on it was not usable since "Already in use"

  23. Please in the challenges at least give the option to change the control configuration, I'm used to fly mouse+keyboard but I can't select it
  24. I'm not sure this is a good thing. It may destroy even more the PVP aspect. I believe docking and u docking should happen like it would happen in real. You have a gear? The gear touch the other construct? The gear will lock you to it. No gear no lock. Not contact with the construct through a gear no lock. The gear should have the technology to dock and undock. This will still allow PVP where in an hypothetical future ships can board another ship for a close combat or salvaging.
  25. Elements that can't be repaired after 3 times or whatever... what is? Super Mario Bors? E have lives? What the hel use a different system to evaluate an Element status. Bring instead maintenance land deterioration evel while using something.
