I was also wondering this myself, as it would open the doors to multiple unique ship builds. One I can think of off the top of my head is a large ship that is made completely of modular smaller ships that can use the core of the main vessel as a transport then in combat can separate from each other. Great question and I hope someone on here can answer it.

While completely possible it would limit you in a lot of gameplay aspects on things that you could do. If you are worried about PVP I would suggest trying to find an organization that internally protects their members why they are mining and doing other activities. You could for sure do surface mining but as stated above that would take quite a while. This is an mmo though don't be scared to branch out try new things and develop connections within the community.

I really like this idea. I was thinking of the same thing and wanted to check if someone else brought it up first. I was mainly thinking about making housing in the possible future for players but not wanting them to have the ability to level the whole territory but at the same time have the creative freedom to do whatever they wanted too within their space that's given to them.

The server is only on for limited times during the alpha you can find the tests at https://www.dualthegame.com/en/ on the top part where it says alpha 3 it will show if there is an alpha test planned and for when. Hello everyone I'm from the United States. I will be leading with a few others an organization Chem Dogs (We're also looking for new members). I enjoy gaming as a pass time and have been waiting for a while for a game like Dual Universe to be released. I mainly enjoy sci fi games but play a wide range of all game categories. My other favorite would have to be strategy games however recently been getting more into ship building games. I enjoy reading books too some of my favorites are Druids by Morgan Llywelyn, Starship Troopers by Robert A. Heinlein, Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card, Lord of the rings trilogy including the hobbit and The Silmarillion by J.R.R. Tolkien and many other books that's just a few that come to mind. And like any animal loving person I enjoy the company of dogs and hiking. I am fortunate to have seen a good portion of the world and have enjoyed hikes across multiple countries. My Organization and I have been playing some space engineers and no mans sky getting ready for Dual Universe. For those that like strategy games we've also been playing Total War Warhammer 2 and been having a blast on that. We've also been playing star citizen for a bit each patch it gets but mostly waiting till it gets smoother for the most part. I've also recently got a VR headset (Oculus Rift S) And have been enjoying half life alyx and blades and sorcery and some other games on there.
