making it to hard to produce is the same reason i left EVE after 12 years. So after Tier 4-5 become impossible to find you now want to make it really hard to build. im thinking that your shooting yourself in the foot

I can see this being an issue for me, as I am not a war like individual nor am I big on being part of a huge organization. Kind of the little guy if you will. I could see the little guy getting pushed to join or else or even constantly harassed by "pirates" until they either have to join or just quite. anyone that has played EVE knows this is how Goonswarn started, now they are a huge problem. something has to keep the solar system from being lawless.

Before anyone immediately replies "there's already an article on this" or "they already said anything goes" or "if other people don't like it they don't have to play," I wish to point out a few things:

    1. Humanity is incredibly creative. Especially when it comes to being jerks.
    2. There are a nearly infinite numbers of ways the spirit of the game can break easier than the rules.
    3. Games depend on players if they want to survive past launch.

So, I'm not referring to people who blow you up for straying into their territory, or bases that get raided, or other things that are in the spirit of the game. I'm talking about stuff that can make the game miserable for the majority of players by the hands of the few. For this game to be successful, you need to be able to retain not just those who are either super powerful in-game or capable of finding loop and code loopholes to be jerks, but also retain the other 90% of players who are looking to have fun and aren't super-powerful, and don't want their game ruined by creative-evil.

I am asking for serious thought put into this for a solution. In the meantime, I rather like an ingenious one put forth by "Mythic Quest" -- as proof of Griefing or other Jerkism that drives off players is discovered, but is not technically bannable, perhaps their accounts are moved to the Jerk Server, where they only have themselves and other Jerks to mess with.
