  2. To prevent mis-use of the envisioned glass honeycombs (GH), there could be an auto-testing: any area of glass honeycombs must somewhere touch an area of any solid honeycomb material. If GHs belong to a static core AND their location is at least 100m above ground, that obligatory solid honeycomb material must not be further away than 20 voxels from any of those GHs. When flying a ship, GHs must be very visible somehow, maybe with an extra-strong turquoise tinting and/or strong light reflections, also to prevent ships colliding with them. Please, NQ, give us the glass honeycombs, we really need them badly.

Please, NQ, when the Automated Mining comes (in a few days as promised in your official roadmap), then don't let this device be so expensive that only those who already have everything can afford it. Do a pricing and production costing that is possible for many. Please also do not forget to give us Transparent Glass Honeycombs.

  5. No, never 10x (1,000%) the thrust. That is not what I had in mind (I am the original poster). The thrust would be above the military engine of the same size, maybe 20% more.

    Hmmmm, interesting. Was not any of my own wishes. But when starting to think about biological ships, what about these specs: - honeycomb and element damage up to a certain percentage from PVP can slowly heal itself - if the damage is above a certain percentage (maybe 85%), the ship dies and cannot be repaired anymore - it generates its energy not from any fuel but by being placed for some time on top of soil or in a forest from where it gets its nutrients (no way for players to produce this bio fuel)

Here is my list: Guzzles fuel ~2x or so (enabling longer races) Low HP T5 Item, very costly to build and long time, highly refined Severely diminished power past 75% atmosphere thickness (once the atmo stuff is revisited a drop off above 115% as well) ALL SIZES (XS, S, M, L) as I want to see races with huge vehicles, too Only for Atmo engines Much larger clearance for thrust border (I don't know whats that is called?) Feeds on souls daily Having a very short or even no warm-up time as this is a racing engine

    Ladder

    Please offer a ladder that can consist of elements one voxel high, so we can combine to the final height. Pieces like steps and pieces of the vertical poles. Combined they make the ladder. Ladders will allow us to go up or down without using much space as a stairs. And they are an alternative to the elevators, as well as they would add to the detail richness of a construct..
  9. Controversy is what matters. And in this example, it shows that the same amount of people are neutral to it as the amount of people want it. So why not to offer it? A game should not cater just to half of the people. If this new class of engines comes into existence, those who don't want to use it of course don't have to use it. ?
  10. It would be fine if we could export our constructs to the STL format, or other 3D formats. This would allow us to 3D print our best creations (and some of us to paint them as well). An eĆ¼port from virtual world to rwal world. Heck, I really want that. ?
  11. B y night, the market platforms are WAY TOO DARK. Why not to look to a modern city in real life, where the air itself luminates and makes the night to a darker day? You could define an area of air around the platform that has slightly luminescent attributes and ensures, that the landing area and some area around the platforms are better illuminated by night. You optionally could even use an algorhythm that counts the number of parked ships (or installed lights on ships) that influences the illumination factor of the air around the platform, to create some variety of lumination intensity. However, never the intensity can be more than a third of the day brightness, and in all cases it still must be not as dark as currently during nights. Even the colors of installed ship lights could be a factor, in this case influencing the over-all color of the air luminescence. The illumination of the platform must be seen from afar, so it is easier for incoming, inbound ships to spot platform and free landing areas.
  12. I suggest with urgency to attrct again more people to become players. Not just players, but your team, too, should offer events and streams or even live streams on Youtube and Twitch TV. We need to populate the markets on Sanctuary Moon and many other planets again with new life. You need to create events, where gamers can win some free keys to get more other people ingame. Or find ways that peop,e outside the game can win keys. Urgent.
  13. Please make it possible to copy/cut everything within a selected area: honeycombs and also elements. Same with pasting, of course. This would allow to use parts of existing ships on new, bigger ships (or any size of ship). Thanks.

Also customization of the avatar: - tall/short - meager/fat - weal/muscle-packed - young/old - short(long narrow/wide nose - eye shape - walking upright/bent - scars, missing eye - beard and hair styles and colors And for fashion, we for sure need (each for both genders): - cowboy - hawaii tourist (flower shirt, shorts, sandals, hat, sunglasses, optionally flower wreath for neck or flower for woman's hair) - government servant (bureaucratic) - police - military (camouflage colors selectable) - beach - prisoner - formal - party / 1970s disco - Han Solo alike / 1978 Battlestar Galactica alike - pirate - space princess / prince (1978 Buck Rogers) - stoneage primitives - Star Wars stormtrooper alike / Star Trek crew alike - casual
  16. I remind for voxel spheres, cylinders, triangles, and such. Rotated voxela reas would share those "un-cubic" features. Many players really want (and need) that the DU developers epand the functionality /modelling of voxels. Bringing DU ahead even more of other games!
  17. Please, NQ, when the Auto Mining comes, let it also harvest the surface ore and let it be able to create custom-shaped underground caves (for bases). I already posted a suggestion about such a cave-digging feature.
  18. It is grrat to see, how many players are so interested abour Racing Class engines. Seems we hit a jackpot wit this suggestion. ?
  19. No, the suggestion of Racing Engines is still a good one. Anything that is supposed to be fast, needs lowest drag. meaning, small front section of a ship. When adding more and more regular engines would do what one racing engine can do, then you also add more and more front area to a ship. That is counter-productive. In real life it is the same: racing cars do not sue many normal car motors, but one better one. That is what it is about: getting more thrust without adding more engines, by adding a new class of engines: the Racing Class Engine. The exact values of thrust and fuel consumption, and maybe resistance of the engine to damage, is up to the DU developers as they work with some algorhythms to get the exact measurements. I can imagine, that the thrust surplus to a Basic Engine is maybe 60%, at least.
  20. If the square shape remains, no problem. For me it is only important, to move such a square area forward or backward, depending on the needs during ship design.
  21. I could imagine, that in the future, to promote DU, NQ would have a permanent event: to each three month elect one ship out of all submission to be the most attractive ship of the quartal. To participate, players inform NQ about the ship name and planet it is on, or even the coordinates if that ship remains at one place. An NQ team will then visit each admitted ship and check it out, making screenshots. The Most Attractive Ship of the Quartal (MOS) will then be displayed (with the nname of the developer) on the DU website and any advertizing items NQ considers as being useful, including Youtube, Twitch TV, or printed items. There will also be an ever-growing online "calendar" that shows all ships of the quartal with mentioning of the year and quartal (Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter). And there should be some sort of benefit for the developer of that ship. Important: - While looking attractive, a ship should still look like a ship, and not like something entirely different. - It does not matter if a ship is purely atmospheric, purely space, or made for atmosphere and space. - Any ship that enters admission, can be built by one or several persons.
  22. Haunty: No, there is a big difference: rockets burn all their fuel at once, no way to stop them (unlike modern rockets here on Earth). And some more differences, like fuel type, and such.

  24. Hmmmm, maybe I misunderstand. But have you tried to split that amount DURING transfer (by pressing SHIFT while dragging into a container with a smaller volume)?
  25. No, not the thrust of military engines, I never said that. ? I am talking about a thrust that is beyonf the thrust of a military engine. MUCH more thrust. But at a cost (easy damage, big fuel need, etc.). This would make sure NOT every ship would have such engines, but only very special ships.
