  1. All his sttupid violence, yes, it really turns me off. I want to see hose violence freaks being confronted witth the bad emotions they are causing, just so they begin to understand. hey love violence soo much, so wishing (nott bringing) them such experiences in real life is maybe the last avenue to make them understanding, how much frustration and anger their behavior is causing. All he imes that PVP lobby, in so many games. Some of he best games I plaid before, were cut off from all the other aspects thsat where in development, just because of PVP lobby speaking out against them. So that game was nice for all PVP lovers, but it was a dead end at one point for all the normal players. And so, many normal players lef that game. hat game was Eve Online. PVP lobbying destroys so much...
  2. Naaaaa, arming is something I am not going into. I am not playing at your rules, just to satisfy you. We stick to the SDD. But you are right with your first statement. It will be up to NQ to fine-tune the usage rules of the SSD. Because you was right, I gave a deserved Blue Heart to your comment.
  3. I have some colored lights on the second floor of my ship. Bu their shine also hits he ground floor. I propose a new value inside he right-click menu of all lights: he distance where - independently of light strength - here is suddenly no light anymore. If tha value is on default 0, the light range is not influenced. Bu if the value is se to 3.0 (example), regular illumination exists up tto 3 meters away from the light element, but after 3 meters there is absolutely no illumination anymore from that light source. I believe this suggesion is very useful for many, many players.
  4. Thanks for your opinion, Zoldos., I believe, a self-destruction device (SDD) would give more balance, as a number of unarmed ships have now a chance to take a number of pirates with them into the nex life. With oher words, death is now potentially on both sides. And that is balance. Wihout SDD, deatth and loss is always only on one side, and that imbalance is not fair. With a SDD, pirates are now also at risk. Like in real life, where Somali Pirates risk a lot when attacking huge, slow, unarmed cargo ships - those have watter cannons and use them to try sinking Somali Pirate speedboats.
  5. Remember the other idea I suggested,. But you need to read the details of that idea still.
  6. Did you read the deails of my suggesion? How would it be possible to use a ship as kamikaze ship? Please le me know, then I can tell you where you are wrong.
  7. That is exactly, what my suggestion is about. ?
  8. I would still see the marker and aim to that direction? Graet, then I owe you a big THANKS for this information. Fully appreciated. ?
  9. Lethys, no, I just reply to one at a time. Violatting someone is actually the same, ingame or real life. mViolating is, doing something hat person does not want. Causing increased amounts of stress and frustration and anger, in short - decreasing the life expectation of another person. If you had read my initial postings, you would have been aware - maybe - that I proposed challenges and risks of different types for the Unsafe Zone. PVP being just one of them. o keep balance, PVP to be focusing on where the nice challenge lays with PVP: armned ships. Your ships are armed, so what's wrong if a vicim's ship is armed, too? Arming a ship indicates the will to participate in PVP - exactly what you want. But again: I want o see many more challenges of different types inside the Unsafe Zone. Drifting radioactive ship wrecks, desructive high-speed micro asteroids, and many things I canot even think about. I invite you and all others, to come up with some more ideas. Please understand, I am not forbidding PVP, but need to limit it to those who want, to make the way free for more risks inside the Unsafe one. If we keep PVP as it is now, any new risks would just increase the chance to die inside the Unsafe Zone as all challenges would just add to each other, against the player. That would mean, to introduce imbalance - it would become too hard to survive there. I do not have the intention to make the Unsafe Zone to a low-risk area. Please do not misunderstand me.
  10. I suggest the implementation of Note Sheets, to allow players to exchange LUA code ingame, or other text-based inormation. A Note Sheets can hold a lo of text. Such sheets can be purchased for small money at the markets (maybe sets of 100 sheets, 50 sheets, 25 sheets, 10 sheets, 5 sheets), or can be produced from organic material or from carbon. Text can be pasted into Note Sheets, or copied from them. Noe Sheets never lose text from coying or pasting. The player can NOT erase the text to make it usable again for new text. A Note Sheet can have a headline, and that headline shows on MouseOver event or as name inside the inventory (needed when having many used note sheets, like a collection of LUA codes). Used Note Sheets cannot be stacked again, until their dynamic data (the text) is being erased. To avoid mis-use (spam), maybe only friends can give such Note Sheets to friends. But in case, you people from NQ decide that everyone can receive these Note Sheets from everyone, people could sell LUA code on Note Sheets in dispensers. HINT A Note Sheet is very different from the Mailbox with its brief Message Forms tha I proposed earlier here. Two different things.
  11. Thanks, RugesV. One more question: because I use these direction markers to know, into which direction to build a tunnel, I would need to know if I would still be able to see the marker after I pressed CRL-V. Would that key combination only remove the marker's blocking of the mining tool?
  12. It reminds me so much for a man who rapes a woman. he woman of course does not want to get raped and says "Stop it, stop it". The rapis responds to the helpless cries of his victim:"Why didn't you stay home then? You are out of your aparment, so do what I do and make love with me". And what is the PVP weirdos are saying? You are outside your Safe Zone, so do PVP with me even if you don't want but I will force it upon you"... So, being able to attack armed ships only makes the difference. You PVP lovers can still get all the PVP you want, but now all your your possible victims can fight back, with the same weapons you are using. Are you really so afraid of that, strong man?
  13. I would like tthe possibility to switch between the conttainers of a pre-seleced set. A Link Switch could be installed on the base or ship that links to various containers. Instead of linking to a single container, the default link is set tto tha switch. When mining, the switch allows to select a contaner for - let's say - Ore A, then for Ore B I select another container while deep undergrouhnd, that switch makes it possible. Also needed: that Link Switch should be able to link to containers of different cores. In my case, I have linked containers inside my ship for ore I want to sell, but if I find ore needed to make fuel I want to change and fill a conainer that is not on my ship but on a static core that has a small factory installed for nitron.
  14. Thanks for the positive reply. But as the NQ team is English and French in language, better to post in one of those languages so they understand that this is a posittive comment. The more positive comments, the higher the chance of implementation especially for such a long-standing reques as I am learnign from your response.
  15. Lethys: it is the PVP lovers who, don't see anythign else than their opinion. My suggestion still allows for PVP, but it adds balance to a way, that players who do not wish to be subject to unprovoked aggression don't need to endure this. With other words: PVP for those WHO WANT IT. No more mental raping of unwilling players.
  16. Like in real life, ingame blueprints should allow for some types of changes. hose changes are permanent on the BP until being changed again. Possible with DRM-protected BPs and own BPs. EXCHANGES (selct from a list of compatible materials) - each type of honeycomb can be exchanged with another one (example: Matte Black Plastic to be replaced with Matte Yellow Plastic) - each type of engine can be exchanged with another one of equal dimensions (example: Basic Space Engine S to be replaced with Advanced Military Space Engine S) DELEITIONS - any listed element type can be deleted entirely without any replacement - any listed honeycomb type can be deleted without replacement (though this can lead to slightly distorted shapes of remaining honeycombs in cases of voxel artist work)
  17. Yes, Physics, it is true what you write: PVP is supposed to be exciting and all that. It is because of that, that we know helpless ships, ships without any weapons, would be boring for you. That is, why we came up with the idea, to further enhance the adrenaline of PVP: that unarmed ships - at the brink of total loss - can self-detonate and create a huge area of destruction, destroying loot, ship, butt also many of tthe ships around. his naturally makes PVP more balanced, and adds to the excitement and adrenaline push. No PVP hero with repution wants lame, unarmed ships only. So, instead of weapons, those slow ships would use just another way to add to the challenge. I do not see anytthign wrong with that. There is no monopoly for destruction just on one side.
  18. Ahhh, a human parrot. Amazing. Do you eat nuts and seeds, too? Got some for you. When there are no own arguments, some use the arguments from others. ?
  19. DarkHorion, thanks for the long but interesting-to-read text. Yes, I follow international news closely, among them US news. I am well aware of the huge amount of "PVP" in the US society. I even run a Facebook group that (sarcastically) thanks the NRA for providing all these eciting headlines about mass killings ("PVP"). I think, we all(with exception of NRA and their lovers) agree, that there is way too much "PVP" in the US. Looking to Japan with its strict and almost 100% restriction on guns, it is a big news headline there if one single shooting crime has happened in a year. You simply don't have mass shootings if there are no guns avalable. A better society. Other wrong-doings still, of course. But not all these mass-killings, and not all these many many many gun crimes where low amounts of people are murdered. In Japan, they have crime where knives are used, but not many, either. here is no NRA in that country that lobbies, pays and controls politicians. The problem in our human society all over the world is, that there are too many people who love criome and violence and destruction and corruption. Those are the folks that are holding us back, mankind at a whole. I see those freaks as a kind of prehistoric pre-form of human, not ready yet to be part of a violence-free society. As ,long as those are mixed witth normal humans, any resulting society will have violence and desperation, sadness and hate. Those societies cannot develop as fast as they could do otherwise, and often don't develop into the right direction. China, Russia are great examples for that. As people love and enjoy violence in real life, so of course their minds enjoy and love violence and misreatment of normal people in games, too. I have serious heart problems, stress can easily kill me, so I even have a real reason not to ever be part of some war or PVP or crime - it is stress and has the potential to kill me. But also my ideology is strictly against violence, I just don't believe in it, and don't give any rights to it to existt. Violence simply has no, absolutely no, legitimation to exist. It is holding back all of us. I am a natural explorer, I like to discover new places, meeting people and exchanging knowledge with them (not killing them). My entire life I traveled to other places, lived in many different countries, because I enjoy life. Many people cannot do what I did, as they don't have these possibilities, thanks to societies that are sick and cannot perform well. In games, I also like to explore. But cannot thanks to those weirdos who control areas and keep them and those resources just for themselves. those acts are what keepp societies ingame and in real life back. We humans are divided in normal people and in "yesterday" people that are still driven and inspired by violence and all such, less developed like normal people. hey, too, are part of us humans, so we accept them among us, but they bring just suffering and pain. There is not much more I need to say about that. ------------ My idea about the self-destruction device ingame is a nice way to bring more balance into the Unsafe Zone. Now, those violent PVP folks have to think twice to attack unarmed ships. hey still can have all the fun they need by attacking armed ships, even a nicer challenge for them. But we unarmed, violence-free people need a way to keep attackers at bay, witthout having to become PVP lovers (meaning, playing by the rules those PVP lovers like to put on us).
  20. You're such a Dagobert Duck. ?
  21. Why would I arm my ships if I am not willing to participate in your PVP actions? If I would arm my ship, that would mean I would agree to do PVP and to be violated. But I don't.
  22. Naaaaa, you're now too afraid, my PVP friend. Yes, it would add more needed balance, but it would not destroy an entire fleet. But then again, why would an entire PVP fleet attack an unarmed vessel? I admit, I do not understand that example you are giving. But I understand your deep-rooted panic that the unarmed ships you are attacking now finally could be a slightly more challenging target. So, here are some extra rules for such a device. Basically, such a self-destruct mechanism needs to follow some rules: - it can be installed on unarmed vessels only - it cannot be ignited if there is no armed ship around - it cannot be ignited if tha ship was not being fired upon before Now you should feel much better. I am adding these rules to the initial posting.
  23. I half-way agree. But not the cores should become more expensive, but certain PVP-required equipment. This way, L cores can still be used for many other things. Alternatively, if there is a new class of core, the "Battle Core" or "Combat Ore" (PVP core), then such a core should be expensive. Those cores would also have different specs, like many more hitpoints, support for mounted weapons, and all such.
  24. Many know this: if you do mining, maybe creating a tunnel towards a marked destination, the mining or digging tool stops to work as soon as it is aimed to the destination label. I suggest to add a few lines of code to this wonderful game, that makes the destination label not influencing the mining tool. That's all. ?
