    Given the recent discussions on the forums surround the organization known as COPS, I would like to once again reaffirm that members of COPS, self-proclaimed pirates though they may be, are nevertheless entitled to certain rights just as the rest of the community is.

     

    The right to form one's own organization, and the right to join an organization which one may find interesting, are given privileges that should not be subject to attempted sabotage or other malicious tactics, merely because that organization or individual's ideology is disagreeable to some. If said entity were to intentionally detract from another entity's ability to enjoy the community and Dual Universe, then counteractive measures are entirely justified. However, ridiculing or committing hate crimes based merely on disagreeable ideals is under nearly all circumstances improper and toxic.

     

    With that said, Cinderfall (collectively) is not one to tolerate such noxious behavior directed toward any party in the community. As such, while we would be overstepping ourselves with a complete endorsement of the Coalition, we do extend a feather of support to COPS concerning this matter, and discourage any further hating on COPS or its members.

     

    Birds of a feather flock together, not to be shot down by some disrespectful person.

    Planetary defenses?

    It'd be awesome if I could ring my planet in MAC Cannons (Think Halo) controlled by an ai targeting system. But I'm not sure if we'll be able to have them on the planets. I think you'd be able to have defences on the planet but I don't know if they'll reach orbit.

    Hammertime is coming along pretty nicely, you all play games outside of DU as well yeah?

     

    I know you have been playing planetside 2. I think on Briggs, during nz and aussie times.

     

    perhaps I should make a character? maybe we could look for our other syndicated members to fill in hours throughout the timezones. just as we plan to do for DU

    We play any other game that will catch our fancy, but the main ones we play are Planetside 2, Arma 3 and Supreme Commander Forged Alliance.

    So as a private military corp, do you think it will be beneficial for players to self organize combat arenas to match against each other?

    We may gamble in game currency over matches.

    Teams could improve their cohesion and so forth.

    Yes, I think it will be beneficial for a combat arena to be constructed and run, we might even make it ourselves. It could definitely turn some profit and people will be able to win bragging rights over other people/organisations.

    I've decided to learn Lua as well in prep of this game. I've learnt python through school and I understand the logical steps in programming. From what I've seen Lua is a really easy language to learn. For me I need to learn the syntax, and I found thid guide on youtube https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=GVnIRt77ePk There may be better tutorials and if you have a link to them I'm all open but otherwise this seems to be good.

    Bartering does seem like the best option at the moment. It's be interesting how people will value different things. For instance a PMC could value ammunition over seeds.
