Downloading and Download Size

Just to throw this out there, but was anyone else  "somewhat" confused on how DU downloads?  i.e. Apparently the
game requires multiple separate downloads, each about 6 Gigs, but it doesn't really tell you that - so it looks like
you're just downloading the same thing over and over again?

I'm assuming the game is more than 6Gigs large, but oddly, there isn't a lot of information to be found to confirm this.
