I know that NPCs are not a new concept discussed around here, but I was thinking about some ideas in which they could be used: Enemies: This one is self-explanatory. But they do not have to be advanced "aliens" (to avoid the "evil alien" trope), they could just be hostile wildlife or machines. Good for the PVE aspect. Pets: Again, self-explanatory. Common aspect of MMOs. I believe that this was already promised anyway. Allies: Recruit an NPC ally to assist you in battle, to guard an area, or even help you in something like building! Non-dangerous wildlife: Maybe you can collect specimens (e.g. bugs and fish) for scientific missions or materials? (This can also apply to non-mobile lifeforms such as flora). There might be other uses for NPCs that I haven't though of yet. Either way, I'd like to hear your thoughts and ideas.

In short, I would like to be able to build a mobile unit, Specially for war efforts and sieges. Gundam like structure able to carry a weapon or a Blade and would be nice to have some air possibilities, but well lets start with moving. I would like to be able to make a high orbit drop of several units that can start advancing the poi the moment they touch the ground. Probably this will not be the most effective war machine, but that doesnt matter, Its the wow factor that counts! Any ideas/arguments?

So just had an idea but not entirely sure if it would be possible due to game mechanics, size limits, etc... But a ship class that I would call the "Nomad Mothership." Basically more of a travelling space station that houses your entire org and all it's holdings. The Org's wealth goes back into improving the Nomad until it becomes this massive, impregnable behemoth of a supercarrier that never stops moving. Or maybe it does stop moving. Find a nice spot to park it and set up a protective bubble and call that spot your home until you're done doing whatever you're there to do. Build a carrier bay into it to house smaller ships and transport people and goods to and from the Nomad. It's the possibility of this kind of thing that really excites me about DU.
