(I thought since the founder of NovaQuark and Dual Universe specializes in robotics and AI, I thought it would be fitting to put this topic here....) I think they will be a useful way to assist people in doing jobs. I don't think they will be a cause of unemployment - rather, the jobs that humans will do will shift from stuff like manual labor to robot maintenance or whatever.

I know this idea might seem pointless since players will do everything anyways and people have propably already asked thus, but I want to still talk about it. Now I know think you can program scripts into ships and stations but I still wanna dream a day where I can command my own droid army that can control ships, stations and veichels. Now how would this work? Well why not add mini blocks so the doid can be in corridors or ships, a droid core where u can program ur droid to maybe attack when sees enemy or run to other droids if there are too manny enemies and also joints so it can move around and other parts. Now these options and more would allow player to make droids in diffrent shapes, sizes and roles like defending, building or servecing. Now what could droids do that players cant, well what if there was only u and a small team and there is not enough teamates to control weapons, security systems, veichels, ships and more. Automated or complex droids can help you and your teamates fill the empty gaps some droids might have many eyes that can whatch multiple screens and locatins, some can gaurd or assist in escaping an attack or invasion and some can build, the possebilities are endless. Im not asking to add this devs im just asking to take notes of these ideas or get inspired by the idea to create your own and possibly create your own droid army like in star wars. So thx for making this type of game a reality for many people who has dreamt of something like this. "May the force be with you" Tell me what you think of my idea and give suggestions I will responde hopefully.

I had an idea for a system that could possibly be implemented for large scale builds. If you were to say build a giant structure, it would probably be quite hard to complete with a small amount of people, or by yourself. My idea is robotic builders that you can tell to build something. It work work something like this: You would have a free-camera system where you could build something in it, kind of like a game building software or something like that with the free floating camera. In it you would have the ability to freely place materials or whatever you can. You could create something, upload it to a robot you have build or bought, give the robot materials, and then it would start to build. This could make it so that players could more easily take on larger scale builds.

Wouldnt it be great if you can build you own army of robots? Ai grunts who could to tasks like mining, building things according to a construction plan, represent the army of a large organisation, etc. These units would be controlled by some kind of datacenter were you give them orders. They would be active as long the owner or a designated operator of an organisation is online and also only in an area of one planet or something like this. Pls send feedback

What I really want in any game is Mechs. This might be a stretch to do since the it either needs to function flawlessly or it needs to use some sort of pre-made animation (which would be difficult to fit on so many different designs) but if i could have one thing, it would be giant robots. more like a Gundam style as well as any other style people like such as mechwarrior, or the Big O, whatever Giant Robot floats your boat. of course it would all be up to the player. maybe they could have some sort of skeleton that you could build off of and that skeleton would have the pre-made animations and you would just be putting on the armor and weapons. might be a bit too much, but it will always be a small dream of mine. For now I can just play pretend by building a ship in the shape of a Gundam even though the arms/legs don't move. if they added some sort of rotors like on Space Engineers or some sort of moving parts mechanic then that would be more than enough for me.

I do understand you want this game to be player run but what if Corporations/Players could be in-charge of there own NPC's. Like a Robot/Drone/Clone army that could be destroyed by opposing players for resources that they hold or contain. The NPC's could only act as scripted by players and more complicated commands would need a player to tell the army or just one NPC what to do.

From mining and transport to battle and information, robots are huge parts of sci-fi and futuristic television shows and movies, so why not bring them into Dual Universe? Being a solo player can seem nearly impossible if faced against larger pirate groups, or even managing larger ships, but if you had a hard working team of steel companions with you, it would be an even match! Host an industrial company and don't want to fork out thousands of your hard earned credits to pay for defense? Worry not! For you may manufacture hundreds of honest and loyal machines to keep your business in running order! C'mon, who hasn't wanted their own private army of battle droids? Robotics can be a fantastic and unique addition to the universe that Novaquark is creating. Just like other technological skill trees, robotics can have it's own, unlocking you different components to make robots that are elite in fighting, mining, transporting goods, repairing, or other utilities. There are many possibilities for this addition, if you care to, feel free to add on any ideas to this post ????

More acuraly battle mech suts, such as from statcraft for the marines. Makes u alot harder, stronger, but prob slower. Would be perfect for any havy solider guy that would like to surive invasions and boarding parties.
