That intel is almost a year old. Alpha 2 is said to roll out this semester but nearly at the end of it we're still at alpha 1. I'm a silver kickstarter founder myself and I can't access anything (no download button in my profile) even though it shows my silver pldge on my profile pic. Are they handpicking players gradually to add them to the eligible player pool that can download the client ? Otherwise, There is something clearly not as obvious as you are suggesting, given this question has been recurrent for the last year.
