  1. i think nearly instant building as long as you have the blueprint and ressources should be included, they wont force a player to stay at the same spot for 10 minutes or something like that.

They want to include hacking, so i think the nanoformer will also have a hacking interface, thus making it to some kind of multi-purpose tool, maybe we can upgrade it ourselfs with a limited amount of extra features.

Also heard you could use programming in game? tho I have never really got a 100% confirmation on that.

  2. I like the idea of "directed mutation" to better survive in diffrent enviroments, it gives a clear sort of... diffrence and such, also I would love if this was a 1 time thing, like if you have gained a mutation, too bad, you can't change, so it is basicly a very important choice and you really need to think about it.

  3. What is the point of multiple races in all seriousness?

The game's lore points to rebuilding the Terran civilisation (with all its PvP glory). You start in an Arkship from Earth, so I don't see multiple races being viable.

ALTHOUGH. I'm tots down for some weird-ass Vault-Tec inspired experiments, turning us into werewolves, vampires, or ferret-human hybrids. Cause THAT would be awkard AND funny if it's randomised.

The meaning USUALLY with them is to kinda allow people to see the world from another races perspective... or with diffrent stats.

This however mostly only works with MMO's that has quests or NPCs that can react or do diffrent things dependant on your race.

  4. Oh I think we can do more than just create holes and cities in the ground, we can sink infantry units, or the tanks that some people want to build. Combat is more than shooting a laser rifle. Invading my area, park your ship and you may return to a hole where your ship used to be.

*the liutenant looks at the captain*

"But what is wrong with the digital newspaper? it is still the same thi..."

    *the captain turns around angrily*

"IT IS NOT THE SAME THING! Trust me, after 50 years of reading newspaper, I know the diffrence!"

*He frowns* and it wasn't JUST the newspaper... my ship. He litterally BURRIED IT! I JUST BOUGHT THE SHIP TOO!

*the captain clearly hates this Scruggs"

  5. Mwahaha... Evil, nay, just avoiding PVP.

    *Liutenant shakes in fear*

"I have heard that name only in horrifying tales, sir... who is this "scruggs""

"He is a cowardly weakling, that tries to avoid combat by digging holes... which wouldn't be so bad if PEOPLE DIDN'T FALL DOWN INTO THEM ALL THE TIME!"

"but sir, why does people fall into them, I mean, can't they avoid them?"

*The liutenant sounds confused, while the captain turns to him*

"You don't understand, he digs them in the most ABNOXIOUS of places. Once, I opened my door one morning, and it was placed RIGHT OUTSIDE MY DOOR!"

*the captain turns back to the planetarygrid*

"I could never really get my newspaper after that, I had to start using the internet for my daily news"

*The captain clenches his fist in rage*

  6. Exactly why I'll dig them everywhere, you won't know which one will lead to your quick death or which will lead to a pool of water and an underground lab, factory or city

    You are evil...

    "SIR! we found something strange!"

    "What is it!"

"It is a row of strange holes, sir!"

"Holes... I know only one man who would DARE dig holes on my planet! *dramatic pause* SCRUGGS!"

    *Liutenant gasps in horror*

  7. A few kilometers is still pretty decent. I'll be digging holes regardless. Watch your step, I'll be digging them everywhere for no apparent reason, and they will all be a few kilometers deep.

I mean, It shouldn't be that difficult to build underground cities / factories / secret laboratories :D

  8. Empty placement spot: A modelless Item placement spot that would allow us to designate shelving area within our own voxel structures.

Empty sitting spot: A modelless sitting spot which would allow us to designate our own chairs within our own voxel structures.

    Photos: Using  in-game screenshots in-game.

Pots: Because alien flora needs a home.

"Aquariums": Not necessarily water, but recreating the conditions in which small fauna can survive in.

Holographic NPC: Using whatever player character creation system there is and taking it's animation commands from an LUA program.

Holographic ship model: Quite a bit more taxing but perhaps can be done efficiently with some good coding mojo, downscaled holographic representations of blueprints.

I sooo want to sleep in a bed, with a tiny holographic image of my ship next to it :D

but yes, we all need to be able to design the interiour to our houses just as much as we need to be able to design the interiour of our ships.
