  1. So Land Air And sea what does NQ have plans for with that? ie tanks,planes,jets,ships, and helicopters will we be able to build them? how will they work? Also for players will we be able to use melee and primitive bows? Will it only be a fps systym and how will that work because currently it sound really dull and looks something like this 

     as such this would be really op and require no skill.What about hover crafts? What about subs?how big can we make them?

    It ends up working so all ships that want to stealth have all types of stealth technology available and all ships that need to be able to detect them have all types of sensors.  It ends up being the same functionality as the "Magic Cloaks" just with different fluff.  The only way to keep people from putting all the different sensors on probably every ship would be to create artificial limits on the sensors so that they just can't be put on the ships, and even then people will just make small cores with the different sensors and permanantly "dock" them on the ship.

     

    My point is that all these rules, and complexities don't end up changing anything.  They are mechanics that are easily gotten around and end up just costing more money to accomplish the same function as the "magic cloak" or a single sensor type.

    Well NQ could easily decide to make each aspect of cloaking take a long time and are in different places or branches in the skill tree

    None of it is needed you say I see would you like to fly a ship blind or only have visible view?

    Unown006 yea I put that up for some good information and insight but I also got tired of people not wanting restraints on cloaking . Cloaking doesn't exists in real life its a Sci-fi tool for fun with no real science behind it yet so you might as well call it a magical system.  

     

    I have no problem with them putting cloaking in DU I would just like to make sure there is some balance!  Unbalance game play has also ben a factors that has killed a lot of games.

     

    Many people will come up with great ideas for system but don't forget they also need some balance. Having the 007 Golden gun is great when you have it but not so much for the other players!

  5. Heres a question will players also have to use a lock and fire system or will just space ships abide by this rule and whats the word on atmospheric planes/navy ships and tanks- will they use lock and fire or will they use a free form style like in a fps like battlefield?

  6. just like Titans in ark I would love to see mobile bases. You could use a small space station that warps with ftl to a new location every 24h or somthing like that or build on a astroid and attach thrusters to it and constantly move at sublight speeds

So Armour the thing that was built to defend humans in many ways.For example Ark uses a set tier systym, Rust use a randomized gear system what will DU use? will DU have Armour? or will they just spawn in and like Space engineers with skined armour? Will you have to manage your armour other than durability? Will you be able to put augments on your armour to give a edge over your combatant? 

     If so what kinds of things can you use to augment your armour?

    Unless perhaps those tools are only meant for things like asteroid mining, which will not really be something a new player will have the skills and equipment for.

     

    Large auto-miners will increase the supply of low-level materials massively, which will drop the price and make it very unprofitable to do by hand.

    And that is why this thread was born present information to open your eyes and try to help you see how such a thing could happen.
