    The concept of stowaways is great, and I couldn't help but think that the wife might have set up her husband's pod to wake him up early so he could register her and their son ????.
     
    Anyway, I really liked some of the interesting imagery you used, and look forward to reading anything else you might write.

    Also, it is over the 5000 word mark when you split up Aphelia's dialogue into its separate words.
