    And i'm not a big fan of narcos, side undiserable effects are not worth :x

     

    But, if it doesn't provide huge boost and is not called "heroin", i can certainly deal with it.  

    They take a 100 pills then suffer from a space overdose.

  2. Ships have bridges. Star-fighters have cockpits.

     

    You could just add explosives and total a ship's bridge just to piss off the pirates and escape on a star-fighter you got on the ship. :P

    Space engineers did that but but their implementation was terrible the cone was more of a cylinder that started right at the engine so everything adjacent to it was getting fried.

  3. I like this idea and think it should be added, as there is so much content potential here. Of course the basics of the game need to be added first, and then this content should start to be added and expanded on. I can see not only the horticulture, forestry skill tree, but also the genetics features about this implemented. I know they have indicated their will be pets, so there may be a animal husbandry skill tree in the future as well, which may be related to this topic.

    depending on how things go maybe crops yield much more valuable things to spacefarers like oxygen?

While you can be sure I would blast a pirate into bits,its a game,lets not lose fact of that.If someone wants to be Space Blackbeard all the power to them.Where this becomes a problem is when people think piracy=sitoutsidespawnzonesandkillnewplayersforhoursonend which does and will happen because some people are just meanspirited that way.

  5. If they blow up your gate are you trapped in the system or are they trapped out of it?Provided you dont die from not having a critical resource you have all the time in the world to start setting up operations/defenses/deathstars.

     

     As long as your not marooned in a barren resourceless system you really arnt losing out.

  6. Decay after days would be obnoxious.

     

    I can see something becoming abandoned after a period of time while not parked or built on owned or maintained land sure.

     

    Would really depend on the capabilities of the servers decay is a good way to clean up trash vessels that would other wise float in space forever.

     

    unless they just say move them into some place like that garbage gyre in the pacific all the derelicts just drifting into a single place.

  7. For the record, I support self destruct and am glad it is a feature being implemented. Even in the event I am attempting to capture a ship, if they decide to self destruct before I board, then so be it.

     

    But there should be methods an attacker can also use to counter that reaction. Whether that be through EMP methods or what have you.

     

    Let's say someone engages their self destruct protocol. Have that send out a 1 minute timer warning to everyone in the immediate area, and also bring the ship to a complete and sudden stop, powering down essentially. This makes the target vulnerable for a fast response by an attacker to board, and disable the self destruct through a very brief hacking mini game. I won't get in to specifics, but it's just an idea.

     

    I'm on board for anything so long as there is a proper counter to each action. 

     Wondering if self destruct destroys the whole ship or just the core/reactor/engines
