  1. Hello Noveans,

We have another update today, DU is now in version 0.31.10 and the fixes can be found below:

    Improvements

    • "Force this construct to undock" no longer appears when the target construct is not docked.
    • "Force this construct to undock" no longer appears in build mode if the target construct is not the one being edited.
    • "deboard" contextual menu action has been moved out of the Construct category.
    • "deboard/board this construct/board nearest" actions are now disabled in build mode.
    • [Lua] Added a note to the container.getContent function to indicate that you must call updateContent first.

    Bug Fixes

    • [Lua] Removed a confusing deprecation warning on the getMaxThrust function for fueled engines and brakes.

    • [Lua] Fixed onStateChanged event of the mining unit not being triggered.

    • [Lua] Fixed system.print missing in the CODEX.

    Known Issues

    • Ammunition related talents are not working correctly.

    • There are some icon inconsistencies in the Talent Menu.

    • We have identified localization issues in the UI.

    • [Lua] The industry getInfo function field, schematicsRemaining, does not return a value until you request an acquisition from the schematic bank.

    • We have temporarily removed the industry tutorial due to several issues.

    • Air Delivery and Space Delivery challenges may become blocked when delivering items in multiple trips

    • We have identified an issue related to the recomputing of honeycomb on constructs following the honeycomb mass change, specially with blueprints and existing constructs. To resolve this issue, you can simply remove and replace the honeycomb in chunks across a construct to recompute the mass manually. It is likely this issue will remain until the launch.

    • A significant impact on performance has been identified when using a radar. We’re working on a fix for it.

Thank you all for your support!

  9. Hello Noveans,

We have released an update today which includes an entirely new schematic system, DU is now in version 0.31.1 and the changes can be found below:

    New features

    • Schematics Redesign
      • Schematics have been redesigned from the ground up.
      • Old schematics are now obsolete and have been removed from the game. All owners have been reimbursed.
      • New Schematics are more versatile and produce a wider range of products. As a result there are now fewer schematics. They are organized into logical groupings such as “Piloting Element L Tier 1” with a few exceptions such as Warp Cells, Warp Beacons, and other special elements.
      • The tab overlay has a new category allowing access to the new schematics interface where schematics can be copied from Aphelia. This interface can also be reached via the Control + K hotkey.
      • Copying a schematic takes time and comes with a quanta cost. Up to five schematics can be copied in parallel and creation continues while the player is offline.
      • Once a copy operation is completed the schematic can be retrieved from the schematics interface.
      • You can cancel a schematic creation process at any time to receive a full refund of the quanta cost.
      • Schematics are now consumed by industry, meaning one industry run can produce multiple products, and consume multiple schematics, however schematics are currently not required to produce any intermediary parts such Screws, Frames, or other parts.
      • Industry Schematic Banks can now hold multiple schematics of the same type.
      • Schematics are now no longer sold by Aphelia on the market.
      • Player created schematic copies can be traded between players through Barter, Dispensers, or on the Market.
    • Added new industry Lua API:
      • setOutput([int] itemId) : Set the item to produce from its id.
      • [table] getOutputs() : Returns the id list of items currently produced, the first entry in the table is always the main product.
      • [table] getInputs() : Returns the id list of items required to run the current production.
      • [table] getInfo() : The complete state of the industry (the schematicsRemaining and currentProducts fields have been added).
      • [float] updateBank() : Send a request to get an update of the content of the schematic bank, limited to one request allowed per 30 seconds.
      • [table] getBank() : Returns a table describing the content of the schematic bank, as a pair item id and quantity per slot.
      • [event] onBankUpdate() : Emitted when the schematic bank is updated.
      • Deprecated getCurrentSchematic and setCurrentSchematic functions.
    • Updated system Lua API:
      • [table] system.getItem([int] itemId) : Added two new fields ; `products` to list product item ids if the item is a schematic and `schematics` to list item ids of schematics producing this item.
      • [table] getRecipes([int] itemId) : Returns a list of recipes producing the given item from its id.
      • Deprecated getSchematic function.
    • Updated core unit Lua API:
      • [table] core.getElementIndustryInfoById([int] localId) : Description update (always returns the getInfo from the industry Lua API).
    • Achievements
      • We have revised most of the existing achievements.
      • We have added 45 new achievements.

    Crash Fixes

    • Fixed a crash related to RDMS tags.
    • Fixed a rare crash when exiting the game.
    • Fixed a crash when getting disconnected while editing voxels.
    • Fixed a rare and random crash.
    • Fixed a radar related crash.
    • Fixed a rare crash related to lua scripting.
    • The client now ignores a corrupted user settings file instead of crashing.
    • Fixed a bug leading to the player getting stuck when crashing during early steps of character creation, resulting in a player not spawning on their lander correctly.

    Bug Fixes

    • Fixed a "NaN" Value displayed on the industry panel.
    • Fixed a bug preventing blueprints made from a decompacted construct to be moved out of the inventory.
    • Fixed the inability to create sell orders with quantities above 1000 units.
    • Fixed building zone size sometimes being wrong when changing the consumable while deploying a core unit.
    • [Settings] Fixed head bob setting not saving properly.
    • Fixed missing achievement texts.
    • Fixed a bug where you could collide with the trajectory line indicator.
    • Restored missing labels inside autoconfigure sub menu.
    • Fixed default marketplace setting not working when selecting “Space".
    • [Repair Unit] Fixed an issue where properties were not correctly filtered when giving back extra elements in the container.
    • [Repair Unit] Fixed repaired constructs sometimes not reappearing instantly.
    • Fixed a bug leading to players being stuck when crashing during early steps of creation.
    • [Market]: Label and distance are optically separated in the dropdown storage of the market.
    • [Novean overview] The labels of the Linked container range are no longer cut on the left.
    • [Survey panel] Display of labels hidden by a gradient have been restored.
    • Picking up a DRM protected element now properly wipes DRM-protected properties.

    Known Issues

    • Ammunition related talents are not working correctly.
    • There are some icon inconsistencies in the Talent Menu.
    • We have identified a few localization issues in the UI.
    • Due to the change in schematics, the industry tutorial is currently incompletable. We are aware of the issue and will hopefully resolve the issue soon.
    • [Lua] The industry getInfo function field, schematicsRemaining, does not return a value until you request an acquisition from the schematic bank.

Thank you all for your support!

  10. Hello Noveans,

We have released an update today, DU is now in version 0.31.0 and the changes can be found below:

    New features

    • Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS)
      • [Settings] Added an experimental graphics option to enable NVIDIA deep learning super sampling (DLSS) on RTX graphics cards for better anti-aliasing and performance gains.
    • Death sequence
      • You no longer respawn immediately upon death but will see a short screen fade-out before your avatar respawns. This delay can allow you to see your ship exploding due to incoming weapons fire, or to see the patch of ground or construct that you had crashed into.
      • Upon respawn, you are now greeted with a ‘You have died’ notification panel that displays a recap of your death: cause of death, place of death, and place of respawn.
    • Market Revamp
      • Revamped the layout of the market operation windows. Added filters for the player and market orders view.

    • [Links] Element links are now instantly updated when another player modifies them.
