  1. Mining machines are worthless.... That's what I can only conclude after building a fuel factory and working with it for a few days. The max that the whole factory could produce was only 1000 l. of kergon a day. Now, isn't that an eye opening thing.

And then the strange but frustrating calibrating system. I'm good enough to get a chance of around 75 procent to find the 100 percent hot spot from calibrating all four of them.  There is always one that is more difficult. I found even out that the cone search option is not even 100% correct. I always start from the center.  Sometimes it's exactly the other side that has the spot.  Sometimes I'm right and then I can still find it, but it's tricky 🤷‍♂️ Ah, and the bonus you get is around 4000 ( in my case 4800),  with some luck you can produce more then 5000 l. kergon with it.

So, in fact, I can find more with just picking up stones than the whole four mining machines can produce. It's if it is just an afterthought for the game. So, let me guess, no respawn of ores in the field, the mining machines produce less then 1000 each day without callibrating. And you pay 500.000 each week for a piece of land? What a ripp-off. On an economical view, it's a dying struggle to go bankrupt, especially since it is not 100% sure that you can even sell the kergon or the ore to get the money together.  The only thing why I did it was because there isn't copper on Haven.

Malachite is at a current low couple weeks ago it hit 300.  184 is not a bad price.  its above other T2's  1100m3 is a low amount.  Each T2 miner at max skills gets you 2,600m3 with max pickup skills thats 4,550 per t2 MU calibration.

Yea I was only tossing out numbers to show that MU's are actually quite valuable, And not as bad as you make them out to be in your OP.  Hope it helps.

A single MU can get up to 230m3 per hour. Good tiles should be able to support 3 MU's.  A single character can manage 40 MU's.

thats 1,545,600m3 per week.(worth about 18,547,200 quanta)  at the cost of 7,000,000 quanta. for a total profit of 11,547,200)

And thats only calibrating ore. If you played the minigame you could get an additional 4,485,600 quanta per week worth of bonus ore.  But your going from spending 30 minutes a week calibrating to 2 hours playing the mini game.  And this is only counting T1 ore.  Once you start getting into T2/T3/T4 ore. the value increases greatly.  Thats why you see people selling flowers for 500 million quanta a pop.

But hey thats assuming your getting a good set of tiles.  Lets figure only your only running your haven tiles.  Your 8 MU's  should net you ~460m3 an hour. 11,040m3 per day. with an additional 62,300 of bonus ore. 513,380m3 total per week. worth about 6,160,560 quanta.  Granted thats the max you could get out of your Haven tile with 1 character wtih max skills timing everything perfectly. Realistically you would only be calibrating 4 large units once every 5 days. For a total of 110,000m3 per week worth about 1.3 million quanta. But thats with minimal effort and no taxes. Which you should not be turning into kergon. instead you should be selling it and buying kergon. which would get you about 50,000m3 of Kergon per week.
