  1. YES for the love of God, Yaweh, Ahla, and the other number of words for a creator, PLEASE UPDATE THE MODEL to something more ship worthy! ABsolutely NO ONE uses these on the ground/statics lol. I mean, you tell me I get a DIFFERENT benefit for it, then yes I would use it on a static, like NODE TRIANGULATION, where I wait 10m and it gives me an available node to mine in THAT HEX. I would GLADDLY binge mine a hex empty, Then make a floating dirt sign in the middle saying I'm empty when I abandon it lol.

    -We could just allow the system to colorize the hex after resources = >5% left

  2. I'd rather see a larger number of missions, maybe even a test variant of Atmo combat, where you have to destroy a pirate base/ship etc. Small things like this could be done via local instancing and a system security handshake up execution and completion.

    - Even the ability to use ur own ship and based on it's weapons and over hp could enhance/decrease the reward/difficulty for ur mission.

  3. This makes me think of something akin to asteroids, where random stations appear with some kind of lore built into them and RNG based loot containers. Maybe even have the loot not be available for crafting, like some... ahem... Uber variant of an engine or weapon or SOMETHING that gives a bonus.

  4. Sounds more like a "Different" warp. I'll refer to EVE online, everyone can warp place to place, but a "Capitol" ship can warp entire fleets and take I don't recall how much lord knows time to build. I'd love to see something restrictive like a "Capitol" core and elements, that are heavy on resources and time, but the payout is worth it.

     

  5. Deny advertising, add actual billboards with Quanta pricing. It would create price wars between ORGs fighting over advertising.

    - WAR > Forced Progress > Industry > Innovation and design > repeat ( Only cycle we have at the moment is Piracy > Combat > Design > Industry, a less frequent matter altogether )

  6. I get it myself, you could make it so that you can zoom out and pull  on one of the sides. IE

    -If I pull OUT the left or right sides to extend X number of voxels, it would pull IN on the front/left in a near equal amount.

    -So instead of a CUBE, I now have a BOX that is longer. You can fit engines into different designs based on what your looking at. In some ways ships would get BIGGER in one direction though made technically smaller in another.

  7. I don't have any screenshots from it. What your REALLY asking for is a piece of UI that connects itself to what your placing, has handles near the object for multi-axis rotation and handles on each of 6 sides to try and drag it. Something like that was done in Daybreak Games Flopped LandMark. It was insanely innovative and worked really well, would really like to see that here as well.

  8. How about we link it into a buff system instead? Different foods, different buffs, maybe like a 5% buff here and there, and the most complex foods giving multiple buffs.

    There's also the aspect of mass production for containers to put food in now as well.

    Bobby just made X candy apples that increase movement by +5% and tracking by +5%, but the food spoils fast due to not being package.

    Ben makes an f'ing ton of plastic and Bobby request Y number of generic containers. Of course, you could expand on this, and make it something that only grows on certain worlds and it's traded as a comodity with the different stations OR even link it into the Aphelia missions as well.

    Doesn't HAVE to be all about survivial >:3

  9. It's the load time, not the structures themselves. I'd love to see Alioth turn into a Coescant ( I think I spelled that right lol ). Getting them to load so you don't have 1s to not crash would be a boon, in and of itself.

  10. Why not just have static planetary cores have no ceiling aside from planetwide build height O_o

    -Several less entries in DB for server ( if its setup the way im thinking )

    -Would require adjusting the render distance to accommodate for the height or depth of static on planets

  11. It's an odd design where you have the construct name in the blue area and the actual name you set for the item in the bottom section. Just a design thing that feels a little off when you stop and look at it.

    Renaming items is a way for us to keep things organized. One would think element name would be in place of the construct name in that case. Considering the emphasis should be on the item name at this point. Just a minor design oddity that was noticed is all, thought I would put it out there.

     

    Ya'll DUing a good job, take your time, things WILL blow up in the player base from time to time!

    It would give a lot more value to, say, being a screw seller because by selling screws you reduce the number of machines the buyer needs to make things.

     

    And you could still make all your own stuff, just not all at once.

    That may end up being the case when they add energy/power requirements to things.

  14. Players crashing, really was a good thing... and they lost items to... so they had to buy more... wait, wait! so instead of fixing the issue CAUSING people to crash *Coughs towers* they removed a key game play loop instead...

      • Social "distancing" pun most intended
        • Chat works only in constructs that you are in.
          • New comm elements for using communications terminal from pilot seat with settable frequencies and passwords, aka broadcasting that is SEMI global on that frequency.
            • RDMS for channels IE Receive and broadcast permissions.
        • Creative functions to move some elements of communications from Discord to InGame methods.
          • K, I can't think of much else atm.....
        • Biggest idea on it would be to move as much as possible from DISC to in game, while still maintaining functionality.
