  1. i think you are missing the point... everyone on the in fleet comms i heard had fun still even with the event being gate crashed. but its the toxicity that followed that soured the event. Loads of BOO joined the discord page for the sole purpose of abusing people. It was nothing to do with BOO wanting to have fun.. the comms from BOO prove they just wanted to ruin peoples day... thats very different from also wanting to have fun.
  2. its unplayable...i get its in development etc... but i've been unable to build anything for 7 or 8 days or so because the voxels disappear when i exit build mode. (yes i have tried the usual build replace build replace etc and clearing the cache.). They said in the Q&A that they had designed the server architecture to cope so they were confident it would work. They were very very wrong. They gave the impression to people that there would be 'some' bugs (JC said that in the Q&A streams) But what they have is a mess. I really hope they are able to come through this, the game has great potential...but they are on an upward climb at this point.
  3. they really seem to be suffering with the servers at the moment.....not sure the 'single shard' is hanging together as well as they hoped..? doesnt bode well for 'millions' of players...but lets hope they find a solution.
  4. the game is running really badly at the moment. Its unplayable for me. Yesterday it was fine, im sure its just load balancing as more people are joining the game. Its not my hardware (all the usual, SSD, 2080 Super etc) , as i said it was great yesterday so something is 'up' today.
  5. The game as it stands now is still clearly under development...but...even if i were not an alpha backer i would still be happy to sub right now...these are my core reasons why. 1. You get to pick your 'home' early on and have a much better choice of locations on Sanctuary (the safe starting world). I have set my pitch up on the edge of a lake and it makes the world feel a lot more personal. After a year or so (maybe a lot sooner) most if not all of the 'best' (whatever you view as best, lakeside, mountain side etc) locations will have gone... 2. It takes a long time to get into the game.. a lot of trial and error on building so you get lots of time to practice and develop your ships. 3. There is already quite a bit to do...mostly in the building area but still, its going to keep you busy. 4. You get to start the clock ticking on training your talents.. they train in real time, even if you are off line so good to get going sooner rather than later. 5. These guys have built something very unique here that could have an amazing future, I am glad im part of it and helping this game get the best launch possible. There arent many games in this genre out there, if we want these types of experiences to last all we can do it help with funding. Im no game developer:)
