As a builder i just want to have my store and my building area without the lag so having a few extra hq tiles goes a long way to helping this. Also what people do with what is theres is not my business nor do i care (example if i buy a car and dont drive it thats my problem not someone elses) there is plenty of land to pick from.

So we asked a lot people and everyone has said the same thing.
Please go back to the 5 headquarter tyles.
So its very very very irritating to not have the original 5 headquarter tyles in the game.
As and example im not a miner but a builder i make content ie ships building kits and other stuff.
I do not mine and as such refuse to pay taxes on a tyle as that would kill the game for me.
However i need the 5 tyles just personally because i dont want my store and my base right on top of each other as that just generates a lot of lag.
    benefits
1st. builders would have more room to expand and make new content.
2nd. the building areas would feel less congested as we could spread out more.
3rd. adds some more options for base building and spreading stuff out to create a more realistic base.

biggingerman reacted to GrayLeader in Better ground modification.
Several people have come together on this idea of having a better ground modification setup. (aka terraforming)
    So idea as follows.
We would love a way to use square ground modification instead of just a circle. (i would say more of a smoothed cube for server performance.)
As and example allowing us to smooth out some roads of have better territories and not so much randomized structure placement because of ground leveling.
    Benefits
1st. way less cores in the world for getting  roads in the game.
    2nd. race tracks!
3rd. getting more realism out of dual universe.
4th. lowering server lag due to jagged edges due to the round tools and flattening tools.

biggingerman reacted to GrayLeader in Randomize ore options.
So this is a thing that a lot of us have talked about that could be a great idea if possible and a very good solution to the ore issues.
We had an idea for the layout of ore that could benefit the game and everyone who plays and the markets as well.
    Idea as follows.
On all tyles in the game have your normal distribution of ore layout in T1 ores.
On all tyles add a 3-6 month randomizer for anything above T1 ores so T2 - T5. (so every like 6 months switch it up.)
Make it to where we have a random grouping of the planets possible ores of above T1.
    Benefits as follows.
1st. this would help the obtaining of ore and pricing as would add more competition in the process.
2nd. ending permanent monopolies in the safe zones.
3rd. Raise player interactions and create new ways to cause economic flow.

biggingerman reacted to GrayLeader in Adjust the RDMS for better control.
The rdms is pretty versatile as is however i have run into a change that would heavily benefit the community and the servers all at once.
This change involves the Kits and the number of cores used for kits by the players.
The request is to add an option to allow only the use of control+c instead of both the +c and +x to prevent errors or having to fix mistakes all the time.
The benefits would be as follows.
The original builders could have master cores down for vr copy paste instead of having to buy a bp and having a thousand cores of just kits everywhere.
More security to the builder in the terms of control as they have to let people have access to the core.
Less resources in the world and less cores being taken up by people just for copy usage.

    Dear Noveans,

We would like to address the recent speculations that have arisen in our community, and openly disclose some changes that are happening at Novaquark.

First and foremost, Novaquark continues to be supported by its long term investors to allow it to launch Dual Universe in line with its original vision. It also puts us in a position to attract experienced talent to complement the team that’s already in place so that we can continue to improve the game.

Next week, we will share with you what we think our priorities should be for Dual Universe and how we hope to approach the development of the game with improved processes going forward.

An important change to note is that Jean-Christophe, the founder of Novaquark, has transitioned from the day-to-day management of the team to better focus on his position as a board member. Over the years since the creation of Novaquark, JC designed and set the standards for the structural and conceptual foundation of the game, and he feels now that a solid base is there for him to move forward as a strategic advisor. The recent changes in the administrative presidency of the company only reflect the transition of JC to his new role. We’re excited to have the team he has built deliver on his vision for the game.

Rest assured that Novaquark’s future is in good hands, and there is a strong partnership between our long-term investors and our team. We believe that the future is bright for the game and for the company, and we cannot wait to tell you where we want to take Dual Universe.

    With our warmest regards,
    The Novaquark team
