Can we give the economy a little more time? It has been a week and a half since Beta started. There are items that take that longer than that to craft. Me and many other player are dedicated to building items and listing them on the market for everyone.

The one thing that will ruin industry is constantly changing the way the market works. How am I supposed to price raw and finished products if NQ is constantly turning market bots on and off?

Yep. Nobody should have to compete against NQ with an infinite supply. It's god mode intervention in a player driven game that doesn't need it. Good work industry guys, keep churning.

Not my perfect game, JC said ppl should not be forced to have industry.

And i agree there should be a consequence for that decision.  But that consequence should not be "you can start playing the game 2 weeks from now and pay 100 times the price of every item"

That might be the consequence right now, but it isn't THE consequence. That is the beauty of this game, and what me and many others are trying to ensure the game stays - player driven. Players decide the consequences and not NQ, and because of that this game is dynamic and will always be evolving.

Okay in your perfect game let's say I want to be a pilot. I should not have to use the markets to get the ship I want, because that would make me a trader, right?

I shouldn't have to refuel my ship, because then I might as well be a gas station clerk.

I shouldn't have to repair my ship if I crash, because then I'd be a mechanic.

I shouldn't have to walk around because I'm a pilot and only want to fly.

I want to arbitrarily specialize and have everything I want while doing nothing I don't want to do. Sounds like a great game Jaoa.

Not hard at all for me. I got a org. I got a factory, i got quanta, i got 2 years in dodging bugs.

What does a new player have?

A new player is going to have to work to learn and build the game right now. That's the way a start-from-scratch civilization builder works. They won't be able to have everything, and that's a good thing. It'd make the game much less rewarding to spawn in for the first time and just have to mine for quanta and then buy anything you want wherever you want from the bots.

Why do you all want it so easy? Yeah, it was easy for the day 1 exploiters and they are going to get bored real fast. They aren't playing the game with "the rest of us" the way it was intended, there is a reason we all begged for wipes. If you really want to say the economy is broken, that is the reason: people already at endgame who have no incentive to help the rest of us build the world.

The tutorials are always a players first exposure to the game...broken ones leave a lasting bad impression. So far I would say the one thing the game has going for it is being mmo - otherwise - empyrion galactic survival and its server concept offers a far better and more trouble free game environment for a more limited number of players. Couple that with a much larger universe....and their road to completion appears much closer and more trouble free. No lag as the server(s) live in the community they serve.

Just calling it the way I see it - this 'beta' was not even close to ready for prime time. I've waited for some time to take a look see...but dual universe has a long long long way to go to even come close to what empyrion already gives.

Without saying too much, we knew. Players knew stuff like this could happen. We were worried for beta launch. There is a reason we are all here and so passionate about the game - it is will be great. The player driven economy, massive single shard universe, fully editable and persistent environment, ship building and physics, this game has things that have never been done before. It is incredibly ambitious. And, you're right, it wasn't ready for public beta with a subscription model.

I hope you return at some point and get through the rough edges and into the fun parts.

Then i agree with NQ intervening on this.

We cant let new players stay behind while big orgs already have battle cruisers.

The game is too hard for you? You don't have everything you want and you are on here crying for NQ to give it to you? Get better. Play more. Recruit some miners, builders, and industrialists to your org which supposedly has people only capable of flying and firing guns whose egos are too large to build a factory to sustain themselves.

If you want to fly around and shoot stuff there are other games for you to play. This is a civilization builder where nothing comes for free. Get used to it.

  7. If you have an SSD, 16GB of ram, and decent CPU you should be able to play it. To be frank, though, the game has not gone through optimizations yet and probably won't for a few months. If you are okay with poor performance in market areas or areas with lots of ships and plan on playing out in the world you can run the game fine.

CPU and RAM is over the recomeded

My GPU is a little below, and i think somewhere I read that the RX 550 was minimum. Has that been changed?

And if a GTX 1060 (3 GB) is enough, my GPU should at least be playable with 4 GB, I don't expect super frame rates either.

I would be satisfied with 30 fps and no input lags. Input lags with several seconds should not be due to the GPU.

GTX 1060 3GB is 120% faster than RX 560. I wouldn't recommend anything under a 1060-6GB for this game, and that's for 1080p. I would spring for a 1070-Ti if you could, those can be had for about $250 used in the US. The rest is fine, more than enough really. I play with only 16GB ram. Network performance is also important for you to quickly load all the vehicles and data when loading into the markets the first time. Let your game sit for 20 minutes before working the tutorial, and take it slow. It sucks, but do it once and leave the starter district and the game will run well.

Also - you will never get lag free gameplay. There will be freezes and skips as the market place loads for quite awhile before optimizations start happening, it happens for everyone. This is day 2 of beta after all.
