  1. Out of the 6XX that voted. I dont need you to recognize me. The reason i reply to this is influence ppl thinking about griefing to stay out of it. Not ppl that already made up their minds.
  2. The Genebra convention written and signed by most countries is focused on military and strategic targets. Instead of degrading of human life. I can agree that today's society is too soft. But the notions of fairness, justice, 2nd chances, peace are very very old.
  3. True. But you may suffer the social consequences of your choice.
  4. It also shows that 595 persons agree with my definition of griefing. NQ has set the rules. Im not against them. But i need to make clear to everyone that some types of PVP are very low in the moral scale. In the same way as ppl are allowed to search alioth for bases with permissive RDMS rules and take their stuff. That player is allowed to do it. But his moral values are very low.
  5. https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=griefing Here is another supporting definition.
  6. On the same article, below: "Camping at a corpse or spawn area to repeatedly kill players as they respawn (when players have no method of recourse to prevent getting killed), preventing them from being able to play. Camping can also refer to continuously waiting in a tactically advantageous position for others to come to them; this is sometimes considered griefing because if all players do it, the game stalls, but this is now more commonly considered a game design issue"
  7. What? That killing some one 10 times camping a core is griefing? Or that greifers have low moral values?
  8. 100% agree. But if you go out of your way(and out of any strategic reasoning) to keep doing it than its griefing.
  9. Thats his fall back argument. To find a english flaw and call me a liar. Happened several times in the past...
  10. No it does not. Its simply a exaggeration. To make sure ppl understand the point. 9 would also be a exageration. 8 would.....
  11. No, you said that, again to derail this conversation.
  12. Its called despair. Hope is allways there. Thats what greifers use, their victim's hope.
  13. Yes it is, you are trying to derail this. Its quite clear that "killing some guy 10 times camping his core" is included in "focus on that person's pain"
  14. Simple. When you stop doing economical and strategic damage to the enemy and focus on the pain that person is suffering.
  15. The time spent by others building their ships is real. Their despair is real. Your satisfaction from it is real. The video game is just a transport for all this real-life elements. So answering to you directly, yes the person killing someone, in game, 10 times in a row, just camping its core, has low moral values in RL.
  16. No. He is responsible for his bad choices. But the moral values of the person killing him 10 times are still very low. Independent of the responsibility. That person is still greifing.
  17. Fully agree with this. But if you camp their core and kill him again 10 times you are no longer respecting him. You can justify it however you want. But you are still making someone in full despair being greifed.
  18. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sadistic_personality_disorder True, some sadists will bring it to their sexual life. But there are other types as you can see. The definition it self is just "Sadism involves deriving pleasure through others undergoing discomfort or pain " Please note the sentence on your own example using "sexual" before "sadist" clearly showing there are other types of sadism. To make it clear im "NOT" refering to any sexual interpretation of the word. I would like to ask you to not try to make this personal. Comment my arguments. Not what you think of me. Continuing with this will get you a report.
  19. Jonny. I dont know what part of my comment is sexual.
