If I start playing a song on my ship, and you come aboard with 20 friends, will the music be streamed from my client to every other client ? will the server handle the file and preload it for others to cache upon entering the ship ? this could take a while depending on the number of music and their size ! We could be speaking a huge amount of bandwith for the server as mp3s can be several MBs ! Also, "mp3" is a privately owned codec, NQ will have to pay a fee to implement an ingame player I believe. Also copyrights issues... I am not seeing NQ taking that many risks. On the other hand, some games have implemented open source/proprietary TTS (Text To Speech).
