I HAVE A small NEED. I love what we can do within our game even with a basic understanding of voxelmancy, but there comes a scale, at which I find myself struggling to get the small scale finishes I really need. I believe we need some small decorative elements, mostly 1 block and below sized, to support our fine detailed projects. These silly trinkets could EACH serve a multitude of purposes. The key to these small elements is that they can be used bear to complex voxels without messing things up. This will give us all some options for the enhancement of the very smallest of our creations. Some examples SMALL GOLD BUTTON door handles, wall studs, statue clothing buttons STEEL BOLTS wall reinforcement, mechanical voxel decoration, eeeeverything MIRRORABLE SCI-FI EYE LENSES statues, robots, cameras (bigger, sorry) NOVEAN AND BARE HUMAN SIZE HEADS/TORSO/BODY-SEATED-STANDING decorative crew SMALL ARMS shops, decorative turrets, emplacements, statues ______________ I'm sure I've just touched the surface, and there may be things I haven't considered properly, (like the server load of my 10billion rivet warship) but I really do feel that due to the scale of a person against the 1 block scale leaves us a hole, the button XS just cannot fill alone. PLEASE LEAVE ANY IDEAS YOU HAVE FOR SMALL DECORATIVE ITEMS IN THE COMMENTS BELOW, and have a great day.

Basically it would be cool if the whole team/squad/organisation could travel around with one big mothership, containing multiple smaller ships and hovercrafts etc. Pros: Possible social interactions while flying Easier to defend (against possible threats) More epic gameplay if you encounter a (possible) threat What would be needed: Hangar doors / airlocks Docking stations Recharge stations (If this fits in the energy system) Epic sirenes and alert systems (e.g. red/yellow alert) to alert the team/squad/organisation to go on combat-station -> this will create a more epic atmosphere

Motto: "Fortitudo per familiam" or in English: "Strength (derived) from family" Values: Justice within our sphere of interest, loyalty, respect and neutral-alignment Business aspirations and/or interests: Outposts, on asteroids etc. Plot renting for mining Banking If somebody has a problem with an individual, especially the monetary kind, we're happy to help for a symbolic fee or promise of a returned favor in the future If possible, stock dealing Protection Black market stores and ware collecting Intelligence Gambling If that sounds like something you'd be interested in, message yours truly. You are welcome to comment questions or other inquires, about The Family, below. More information and other means of contacting the organization can be found on our organization page: https://community.dualthegame.com/organization/the-family and website; http://dualuniverse.wixsite.com/family . Other organizations are more than welcome to get into contact with us as well, but do remember that we have no intentions of declaring our loyalty to any cause - But that does of course not mean a mutually beneficial friendship shouldn't be possible between our organizations. (Addendum: even though it should go without saying, please be advised that no applicant is guaranteed a spot - this is a small org and will most likely stay that way, whether or not you get it in, is entirely based on your communication/chemistry with current members.)

So I was thinking. If we are gonna have like small fighter like ships. Are they going to have small canons to place on the frame aswell? Is there any concept art out there for DU that shows this?

Greetings and welcome to the "precursor debate" that is part of a long-term corporate study about organizations and player preferences. The goal? Find out about player preferences. What do you look for in an organization? Does it have to be small, large, cover certain themes, have certain infrastructure or ideology? What should it not have, what do you dislike? Feel free to debate, compare and argue. Chances are the debate or topic will be repeated over the years to get as much input and a level of comparability so expect duplicates over time. This time we refrain from using a poll (yet). 2017 Edit: Now adding: Creating your own organization (from scratch?) vs. joining an existing one - what do you prefer or dislike?
