That is a great sticky resource...funny I missed it as it was in the pub section...

 

I've watched many of the youtube videos showing DU content, posted by DU, bluedrake42, XPS gamers, w4stedspace.  I find the videos more persuasive and even exciting than the words saying we will or do have it. In fact as soon as "I saw it" I had to crowdfund this.

Hello DU'ers...

 

So I joined the forum as a new contributor to DU a few weeks back and I noticed today on my profile the "newbie" label. I see others have "advanced member" labels. I couldn't see any info on the forum about this.  It's not about pledge or crowd funding contributions - is it about the number of posts, likes, or other forum type activities?

Eve online is free to play right now, that'll give you an idea of what to expect from some of the mechanics but much more, better and without lag.

Astroneer just came out pre-alpha and brings some good new ideas to space survival sandbox. Definitely worthwhile taking a look at. I hope the DU devs take a look as well ;-)

more publicity is good, and I myself spend an hour most days watching streams for my favourite games, more so when i don't have time to play myself.  I can understand after the events with "no mans sky" why some publishers may be more cautious.

[Exploration Galaxy map]

Another thought on this topic. Given that we'll be members of corporations, and exploration and use of probes will be more aligned to organisation activities given statements on type and duration of resource investment ex probes. I wonder how exploration knowledge could be shared between players, organisations, factions. I'm wondering whether every organisation need to conduct exploration - will exploration knowledge be shared globally or by faction (ex. faction research in anarchy online), or even individually (like no mans sky).  if individually could it be shared across players like bookmarks were in the early days of eve. Interesting times.
