  1. Very true, but it would be a good immersive gameplay element if they did. once every so often a new ark shows up based on player count and how crowded the "Safe Zone" is.
  2. From what i understand people can be in multiple organizations at a time anyone that is interested join here and we can go from there. Community Projects
  3. This is very true, but it was also said there were thousands of arkships. Quoted from BACKSTORY: Basically: you are one of the survivors who embarked on one of the thousands of arkships
  4. Quoted from ORGANIZATIONS: To start with, organizations are divided into legates and members. All legates are not necessarily members, and vice-versa. The legates literally own the organization, which is divided into several shares that are distributed to the legates. Members don’t own the organization, but they have what we call “roles”. Roles are defined by a set of rights, duties and privileges that apply to members. A member can have one or several roles (and, as an legate can also be a member, there can also be roles for legates, but not always), and a role can be fulfilled by one or several members. Roles can be organized hierarchically, so that sub-roles inherit their default set of rights/duties/privileges from their parent. The mechanism by which legates make decisions is voting, with a weight based on the number of shares owned by the legate. A delegation system enables certain legates to gather the voting rights of other legates. This delegation can be limited in time or not, and can be for every vote or for certain types of votes only. Note that the wording used here, “vote”, induces a notion of democracy, but this is not necessarily the case. In an organization where all legates have permanently delegated all their voting rights to one single legate, you have a de-facto dictatorship. Intermediary cases involve a parliamentary system, where a subgroup of legates concentrate the voting rights of all the others, but none of them can rule alone. All nuances are possible.
  5. We will have to see, at this moment in time I'm more interested in details of the game. Then depending on those we may take you up on that offer.
  6. As for mentioned the RMDS can limit What players do to each others claims, but this is limited to what is on their claims not their ships. With ships you will be able to "grind" into them but it will take time depending on your defences and your RMDS. Also I believe that if it is on you claim they can not. I'm looking for the post this was mentioned in and will give link once I find it.
  7. Oh trust me you are not alone! I am hyper pumped for this game!
  8. That actually work well I think. There will be bartering in the early days but after a few days I think it will subside. Then again it depends on if we start with any kind of currency.
  9. Personally don't want much just enough for me and my friends... til we get off world that is... Then it really depends on the player base. if everyone is hostile and KOS then poof we are gone if not we will possible take a planet for trading and mining.
  10. No worries man, I do not mind being corrected what so ever. I just don't like to be told I'm making assumptions when I am just going off of what I have seen. Most of the planets we have seen are defiantly more than 50% water. I meant this as a joke (you should never assume it just makes and ass of you and me) just forgot to put at the end. It is an old saying I've heard for years.
  11. This may be a problem if the starting planet only has a radius of 30KM This is NOT and assumption merely an observation of data that has been collected from the information provided to us. I do NOT claim any of this to be fact nor what will happen.
  12. That would be quite epic. have one going from the Ark to a station in orbit above the ark would be amazing. We should make this a thing!
  13. I don't think it will take all that long to get to another planet. Maybe a week or 2. but it is still a bit worrying.
  14. Oh yes it really could be done but I don't think it will go that far. it is a bit much and I'm not sure the tech could handle that much. Though spore kinda did it back in 2008.
  15. Very good question. but then they would need a central point for the stars to rotate around and that means there would be a center to the galaxy, and if so is there more than one galaxy?
  16. Oh you can count on that happening. Hence why I dislike griefers so much. but the point of the OP is I hope there is enough room for all during the time it takes to get that infrastructure up.
  17. What i get from that is it is going to be awhile before you even leave the planets surface.
  18. Q&A 7: Thursday 7th July 2016 Flying from a planet to another should be a real achievement in our game vision. So it would not be available on the first day of the official release. If a player is here from day 1, it might be weeks, maybe a few months before the travel from planet to planet becomes possible.
  19. I think you miss read that, i think he means it is going to take months for the first person to leave the starter planets surface. At least thats what i read.
  20. That's exactly what they want to do. Is everyone on the same planet.
  21. Um about that: Also, traveling within the galaxy will not be a trivial matter in Dual Universe. You really should read "Ask Us Anything" Event Q&A 25: Wednesday 3nd August 2016
  22. you should read this and And People will all start at the same place. Well, maybe spread a little in the safe area around the Arkship, for practical purposes, but not spaced on various planets. Posted from here "Ask Us Anything" Event Q&A 25: Wednesday 3nd August 2016
