Are sell orders bought only from other players?

I am in the tutorial. I created some sell orders from some ores i harvested.

Unfortunately i placed them as normal orders (i later show that i can place

orders to complete immediately).

Are those orders bought only from other players which means i may have to wait in order

for all my ores to be sold and proceed with the tutorial?

If you cancel the order after 5 minutes and re-list the items again as a quick-sell, you should have better luck quickly completing the tutorial.
