Remote toggling ship control

hey,

i was trying to make some sort of open source auto-taxi service that would involve "stations" that had buttons that could call over unpiloted taxi-ships and allow visitors to visit a hard-coded list of locations i thought were cool in my territory. unfortunately i found out that programming boards can't control engines on an unpiloted ship, and that remote control piloting boards can't be activated remotely - so my ideas' kind of impossible now!

it got me thinking about how many other cool things could be done with LUA if you could control engines on an unpiloted ship either with a programming board or via remote controller being toggled on with a button/sensor :

- an elevator that can come to the floor you're on

- complicated and/or hidden doors from honeycomb on dynamic cores

- subways, trams, roller coasters, amusement park rides

- drawbridges or ship elevators

- complicated and hidden storage systems (put containers / ships on larger dynamic cores that are hidden behind doors to have like, an auto garage)

lots of cool things would suddenly become possible if remote controllers could be activated remotely, or if engines could be activated via programming boards on unpiloted cores! things that would make people's builds a lot more dramatic, interesting and lively.

anyway thanks for reading! feel free to daydream about other cool things that could be done with this!
