Jerbart Posted August 29, 2020 Share Posted August 29, 2020 I just read about the open beta, downloaded the game and was going to try it out for the first time, but I'm getting this same error. But I can't find any info about how to resolve it - are the game servers just currently down, or do I need to do something more than just create an account, download the game and start it up? I'm looking for a really good open world builder/MMO to spend my next 5,000 game hours in, hoping this may be the one, but it seems like all the promising ones are in perma-development hell (looking at you Star Citizen, Empyrion, 7 Days to Die, New World, Ashes of Creation!) BobWallice Posted September 5, 2020 Share Posted September 5, 2020 As far as I can tell the error is due to the server being under maintenance. Most of the forum discussions I found about error 106 came from alpha phase and were due to the servers only being available during certain times.
