So cheer up, as you can see whats been achieved so far does look good ;)

Yeah, I think people are getting a little too defensive, and some appear to be actually looking for a fight. As I mentioned, I'm not overly concerned and am still quite happy to have invested. Not upset or looking for any types of arguments.

Pre-Alpha is open to test at certain days/times defined by NQ. Basically thats when we can access the server.

Alpha 1/Alpha 2/Beta: These will likely have longer and longer server access times to fully test both client code and server code.

Final release is not expected for about 2 years (Might be shorter, might be longer) - at which time the server should be on 24/7

Remember at this early stage of the game we are testers and bug hunters and bug reporters. This is always the way with any software that is in development. Please dont think that gaining access means you have a 100% complete game, ready to play, without bugs - its our job to make it that way ;)

Yeah, I get that now. They just made it sound like it was like every other pre-alpha or alpha where you can buy into it and start playing with the build they're currently using, making bug reports as you go along.

Some of the dev interviews certainly made it seem like the universe was already in place and just being fixed and expanded.

It's not a big deal. I still believe in the project and have zero problem investing in it. Was just a bit disappointed at the time aspects, as those have been kind of hard to find, unless you knew where to look beforehand. Again, not a big deal. Just disappointed.

  3. Hey all. I recently bought this game and am very interested in its possibilities.

I recently played through a good deal of Shroud of the Avatar, having spent several thousand dollars on that game before deciding it just wasn't for me. Yeah, I do stupid things like that.

I'm really hoping this game turns out to be everything it can be. I tend to keep an open mind and start to really fan follow developers as they begin to do the things they dreamed they would do with a game. And then kind of drift off if they don't.

I hope to interact with you all in game soon (kind of downloading it right now, and I wonder if my posts will be approved by the time the game starts for me, or I'll just be a shadow poster that no one ever sees...sniffle).

  4. I'm a huge fan of games that involve other players. I love interacting with a community, rather than just playing a single player game.

I'm not really all that into pvp, but what I mean by interaction is trading, team missions and that sort of thing. I used to play some of the earlier fantasy/sci fi games where the purpose was to build entire communities and empires. That was always so enjoyable.
