I´ve played a whole lot of different game in the last 25 years or so... Between Baldurs Gate, X- Series, CS, WOW, Civilisation and many many more. The last view years i majorly played Elite Dangerous (and still do). I had high hopes for the game since i also played the first Elite back in the days. Recently i started to look for things forming beyond the horizon and stumbled into DU. even knowing a big bunch of people that are into the same games i am, nobody ever heard of it so far - sadly .... After growing up with games almost 3 decades ago and experiencing the development of the industry and communities, i am highly sceptical when it comes to "pre Alpha" , "Kickstarter", "pre -Order" etc. behavior of companies and people. In this case thou it´s the first time i´ll take the risk and spend my money on it in the hopes that it doesn´t become a money drain like Star Citizen. I also truly hope that this won´t be another 10 years in pre Alpha - or Alpha game and that it will have release quality within a year or so. I am totally prepared for all this to fail at any moment - but the goals the game aims for are worth the bet from my humble ´point of view. Well..., let´s see where this goes then !
