Who would post here? No one would ever want to post here

I wonder if this thread will ever reach the triple digits in page count

I'd still like to not be forced to join one of 2 or 3 top corps to get "some level of safety" whilst also painting a target on my back for the other 2/3rds of the game just to have a box to store a few assets in (like a garage for my pride and joy ship).
It's not an unreasonable request that people not in game shouldn't be open to being trolled.
That said ... If the current information from NQ is to be believed a typical player on their own won't be affording a garage at all .. as putting it down somewhere is beyond their affordability.
This is why I like the idea of there being at least one NPC corp ... it shields the little guy til they are ready to get out there and join the big guys.
They want players to have to come together. Can you play solo and head off into the wild blue yonder all by yourself? Sure, but there is more risk to that than staying in a city. The game world is huge, the chances of your stuff being found in the middle of nowhere is fairly small if you hide it correctly.
Also, there are no NPCs in this game

Don't forget how absolutely mind boggleingly big the world is. The best defense is simply hiding stuff in the middle of nowhere. And if you are looking for more active protection then buddy up to a bigger group. This is part of the gameplan. They want people to have to come together. You don't have to "join" a larger group per se, there are plenty that would be willing to let you park your stuff in their area and they will watch it

hehe SHIT Corp. Love it

I think that at this point, it is up to NovaQuark whether they allow refunds or not. Legally speaking, I don't think you can require a crowdfunded project to give refunds unless the project has either failed to deliver, or in some way substantially changed from what was originally pitched. Since neither of these conditions is currently applicable here I believe it is up to the creators if they want to give refunds or not. I would contact them

Please don't use DUCON.
Also, I do not support a full Dual Universe focused convention until the game has launched. To do so would be to waste valuable development resources. Not to mention there would be little to have at the convention...
I'm fine with meet ups at the trade shows and other, small events, but I would be very disappointed to see a convention put on by NQ before the game has fully launched.

community wise, well... friendships have been forged and enemies have been made - just hope folks can realize this is still just a game.
I definitely agree with this.
It has been quite the year, and I'm happy to have been a part of it, and I look forward to many years of fun to come! Thank you to the devs and everyone who supports this game

I support APIs. I think in the post-EVE world it is essentially an expected feature. If people can't build the tools they need, they will get frustrated

Not in the moonlight. When submerged in rum I turn into a pirate

Are undead or lifeless smarter than dead?

Depends

In dead eyes !?
Die Waldfee
I identify as "undead" or "lifeless" actually. I find the term "dead" to be derogatory

You have something in the right eye (bar?).

It's a flicker of intelligence. Just a flicker though

Hello Lord_void,
why, you wear sunglasses.
Die Waldfee
Those aren't sunglasses ... my eyes are just naturally black and lifeless

Go to the bottom of the page, click on "Theme", choose "Default", then you can like.
Then you can go back to the custom theme because the default one hurts the eyes.
I know ... but it hurts so bad that it's easier to just say that I like a post rather than visually gouging my eyes

So glad we hit that 10k backer milestone. It's amazing to see where we are now with this game and community from two years ago. Seriously, thank you to everyone who has backed so far.
I still can't see the like button, but that is like-worthy

There would be a renewed interest for this magnificent game that arrives ?
A few weeks ago 2-3 backers per day. More than 100 backers today...and this is not the end of the day.
DU power
Gotta love that last minute surge

That is reasonable, but I would prefer to not be able to turn them on or off. If they do not use wormholes, then I wonder what they could use. It could be something we have not even imagined, but I like science fiction better when we can at least speculate how things work.
I doubt it will be an easy task to turn one off, if it's even possible other than destroying one.

I kind of like the idea of fixed connections between stargates. I think that could make for some very interesting geography of space as some systems might mainly be valuable simply for the connections it has. However, I think they are going for a bit more of a "Lost Fleet" Hypernet style system, and I could support that. In my opinion, that system works better for this sort of game
-
Agreed. I'm pretty sure they already added the mirror tool where you can duplicate things across an axis

Awesome, thanks!
