Then why did they tell me that I can cancel? That is redundant info. I don't want nothing to do with this game or dev. They are fucken useless.

This is pretty much standard operating procedure with player-backed games. Such games often change direction during development. This sort of risk is almost always stated plainly up front (but many players seem to act oblivious when they decide they want a refund). Live and learn.
The point is they asked me to submit a ticket which I already did. What is the point of that? It's a waste of time. Doing something which I already did. Not only is the game shit. Support is shit. Incompetent idiots.

I received an email about me wanting a refund. They won't grant it. But they said I can cancel my recurring subscription. I followed the link
https://www.dualuniverse.game/account/products
But I don't see any option to cancel:
And no it's not under My Personal Account.

Byou pledged $60 towards the development of DU
It was 60 Euro which is just under $100 aud.

That is an entirely irrelevant analogy
Yes, development has missed several milestones (well, they actually removed or pushed out items from the milestones in order to meet them) and if you would make the case that NQ may well have bitten of more than they can chew and will need far more time then they still think they will to get the initial game "done" I would certainly agree to that. But as it stands, this does not entitle you to anything. You too a "risk" and pledged X amount based on what you saw when you joined back in April. Frankly, as you joined during Alpha 3 you would have had a pretty good idea of where the game would go unless you pledged without much thought at the time. From the moment you pledged the game has also not actually missed any milestones and the roadmap as it was back then is still pretty much in place.
You are not an investor which means that just because the game is not progressing fast enough for you or in the direction you thought it would is unfortunate for you but it does not entitle you to anything. Frankly, I can't help but consider you're just reverse engineering a possible way to get $60 returned to you.
I am an investor. I invested my money and the product doesn't meet my expectations. What you've never heard of investors pulling out?
And it's just under $100.

As a backer you did not buy a car. You financed the development of a car, with the hope that it would one day become a great car.
The fact of the matter is they have missed more than one milestone so they are not an efficient team and it shows in the quality of the product. Or lack thereof.

Yes, I have to agree. Being a backer is not the same as a normal subscription. Being a backer is about being willing to supporting the development financially to increase the likelihood of success. So the game would have to be radically different (like completely different or just a plain scam) from what was presented to backers, to make a case for a backer refund.
Subscription refunds on the other hand..
It's a failure. So I do not want to support it. It's not even close to what was advertised. It's a complete mess.
Let me ask you. Would you buy a car without windows and doors? That is essentially what the game is now.

I contacted Xsolla support and this is their first response:
QuoteHello,
You have reached Xsolla. For this issue in requesting a refund, please contact Dual Universe support using this link https://community.dualthegame.com/contact or https://support.dualthegame.com/hc/en-us/requests/new.
The game support will review your request and inform you of their decision. Please note that it can take them several business days to review your request.Thank you for your patience, we sincerely hope they can resolve your issue and provide you with a refund.
I had already submitted my request using that form. So I don't know why they asked me to do it again?
The next day this is their response:
QuoteHello,
Sorry to hear about your issues. Unfortunately, this purchase is not eligible for a refund on our side. The game support will review your request and inform you of their decision. Please note that it can take them several business days to review your request.
Thank you for your patience. So am I going to get a refund or not? Who issues them? Xsolla or game support? Whoever that is.

People complaining about $20 when we alpha backers paid 5 times as much lol. I chose the cheapest option which was 60€ (around $95~ aud). Maybe those people should have done research before spending the money. It's like blindly giving someone $20 without reading the details on the box and then complaining that it didn't meet their expectations lol.

I wanted to have a bit of a play tonight. But once I enter my username and password it keeps telling me the server has disconnected me. What gives NQ? Are there authentication issues?

Either the timeout is due to lag or they have routes taken after hop 10 hidden for some reason. Blizzard do this too. It's like they don't want us to know the full route. Who knows why.
I'd like to do a traceroute on the game server too. If anyone knows the ip?

Is the server located in France? And where can we show the ping to the server in game? I would like to know how many ms it takes to and from the server.

So how much revenue do we get from each player referral?
I haven't got the required numbers yet to be able to start earning but would just like to know for my own piece of mind.

There is no goal. You can build whatever you want. I think the real fun will be epic space battles and control for territories.

Same. I'm entering email address and clicking the [SEND CODE] and the page reloads, but no Beta code sent.
That's what happened for me too.

I was doing the construct tutorial. When I got to the part where you use a static core it wouldn't let me place it. I asked in chat and someone said that I have to train my skills up. Which I have done as far as I can. I don't have enough points to train further. What kind of tutorial is this? Cannot even complete the basics and it's so much of a time sink. Five plus hours to train level four in Architect -> Static Core Unit Expertise. I realise it will take some time but for a tutorial where you are supposed to be learning the basic mechanics it's ridiculous. I basically cannot go any further because I've hit a wall.

Note: we unfortunately won’t be able to retrofit any recruitment that you may do between now and the official launch of the program. Recruitment will only count from the day of the launch of the program, when we can track who’s recruiting who properly.
So we should wait to invite a friend? If we do it right now as in today will they still have access to the beta until the launch of the program?

Well.....And where's the problem? So not all of us are going to play 24/7? Wow big deal, devs can't do shut about it. If someone has no life/work/wife/whatever and plays DU OF CoURSE HE will have an advantage.
So someone can script better. Or build better. Or is smarter. Well that's life, isn't it? Just like in RL there will be trolls, ppl who can do stuff better and ppl who just don't care. Just like in rl those ppl will.get away with it, earn more money and be better than you. I don't see a problem
This is it exactly. This guy thinks he is entitled to be paid for playing a game lol. It's a leisure activity. You don't get paid for leisure activities. If we did then I should be a trillionaire by now for my 29 years (and counting) playing games.
