  1. I was just watching the elements and linking pre-alpha tutorial.

i was wondering can logic gates feed back to themselves to work as "memory". e.g . use an or gate and relay to make a sticky sensor for example.

I'll try it this weekend but just wondered if anyone has played with that

  2. Turning all matter into mantrid drones would be pretty silly seasonal event...    Dual universe - the universe of light the universe of dark .. it all starts to add up.

    but

i loath seasonal stuff in mmos, i really hope we don't all get santa ships for christmas.. and mini quests to collect eggs. that would be more OMG than MMO

i also loath the idea of a casino - zero appeal to me..

its like winning tickets to the international space station and only playing Candy Crush Saga while you were there

  3. If you have done any scripting at all in the past you can get lua basics in an hour using google . I found this most useful:

    https://www.lua.org/manual/5.1/manual.html

The tricky part will be using the api, documentation will be the key or the killer depending how bad it goes, i'm expecting that not to be priority for some time.

I've not touched C in 25 years, but am finding playing with c# in space engineers very satisfying, I'm quite thick but even I have managed to do some nice things.

this is a nice bit of fun too

Also World of warcraft uses lau and I made a few addons for myself years ago. WOW is free to play these days and google "lua wow addon tutorial" brings up a few option,

  4. For:  [Moderated]Unpleasant behaviors[/Moderated] - read content.... we all love to hate them but they are better than just dealing with PVE.

fighting npc's or any pve content is like bubble wrap: it is satisfying popping the first couple of sheets but then you get bored, also wrapping your self in bubble wrap makes you feel safe, but the first sharp edge with cut through and leave a nasty scratch. popping someone elses sheet before they can is the game.

Accept the content, its good for the game. There should be extensive safe zones but beyond them the fewer artificial restrictions to actions the better.
