「Vulture Corporation」 [Security - Science - Service | International ☑ - Immersion ☑]

Greetings. The board informed me about the following [DU] changes that I share with you here now:

▶ A "pact entity" may be created to aid in mission goals and long-term stability

▶ Given the outlook on the future, "Vulture Corp Central" (this very entity) is permitted to create a police force or assign its security force personnel to any existing police force temporarily or for a prolonged time - in turn, contract work or outsourcing via the existing security force is also possible

▶ Specifications are to be handled by the Central entity itself. The Board reserves the right to revoke any rights associated with this update or demand changes at a later date.

Why this change?

Perception. While protection duties can in theory also be covered by private security forces, aiming for a professional and dedicated unit or entity seems preferable and the terms can help in how such a force is perceived, outfitted, trained or generally governed - and by whom exactly.

These changes now basically allow us to either create our own police force sub-unit or entity for our own public settlements or cities, should we ever create or maintain any, or outsource said units to willing groups, organizations or more specifically nations or alliances. In turn, another possibility is that we "lend" our security (or police) units to these groups and formally integrate them into their own public security forces. In this scenario, as they remain part of Vulture Corporation (unless they quit) they will be subject to the laws, protocols and rights of any existing force they join to prevent any unintended influence or conflict of interest.

This can be worked out in greater detail for any interested party. This step on paper basically allows us to either spearhead some kind of joint police force for specific areas or assist any existing (or to come) by adding / lending members to it that would, at that point, already have some kind of combat capability from other scenarios.

Details on how to accomplish or govern this in the future may be released over time.

For public inquiry or criticism, feel free to reply here or send a private message. If you generally consider creating or assisting a major player made public city, consider this offered support for it. CSYN I'm blinking at you here to some extend, too.

Fight the power! The man is trying to just keep us down!

Good stuff though, excited to see how this will play out on release. :D

In all seriousness (I chuckled at the joke by the way ... that was a joke right ... right?), when in doubt wait and see how it later plays out. We have some experience in fighting "very bad people" in a roughly comparable Minecraft environment with faction politics and some sort of economy to create some sort of stability in the region. One organization actually managed to create some sort of "city" but it sadly fell apart quickly and was looted once they left or became inactive.

Meanwhile, the actual main city in that server community was protected by hard code. I don't see the same "luxury" (or in a weaker form at best) for player made cities so I suppose they require some sort of policing or defense. If we look at a bustling city hub for all kinds of people, expect it to be at danger in some abstract or real form. I'm sure even or especially COPS should appreciate a bustling city with a notable trade hub where they can get their wares to or from. But that place needs some kind of protection.

If the place was made or if it's run by an alliance, in theory they could dedicate a part of their security forces to that. But I like to think a joint police force (perhaps consisting of alliance members and so on) may be kind of interesting or possibly better.

In the end, time will tell. We're ready to do our part to the extend possible.

Yeah, it was a joke. :D

I understand completely, and look forward to seeing if this pans out.

Anyways, your rules ain't for me space cop. Go eat a space donut, and be on your way way out of my space.

Throughout history, order and chaos have battled for domination. Through superior tactics, technology and weaponry, order can bring peace and prosperity...

However order brought through fear and oppression can be a breeding ground for chaos. A balance between order and freedom has to be sought, and at Vulture Corporation our security personnel are that balance. We strive to forward human civilization and our security division is part of that goal.

Vacancy notice

We are currently interested in trying to fill two specific gaps or positions - unless a potential applicant is interested (and somewhat qualified) for both at once. The assignment can be temporary and external, too, or eventually lead to full membership so to speak. Membership, access or level of interaction will be appropriate to any outcome. Ideally, applicants look for membership eventually.

If external, we will keep in mind good work and may reward this later via ingame measures. This offer aims primarily at Dual Universe, but Star Citizen employment is also possible.

--- --- --- --- --- --- ---

General notice:

For any membership procedure our requirements apply. We consider the following spots critical (long-term) and will therefore be rather nitpicky beyond the formal requirements. Your reward will be the impact you have on a small but slowly growing team and later on the world that you can actively shape as part of this team. In addition the work and effort you invest will likely also benefit a larger community later on as we actively try to create or support infrastructure.

1) Lore and roleplay support | Quality assurance

We intend to improve our content and generally look for an interested individual with a roleplaying background or experience that is either interested in becoming a member and assisting us in terms of lore and roleplay integration or an external individual that is interested in assisting us with said aspects without becoming a member. Potential members are not restricted to this of course and may find integration in one of our three core branches.

To express your interest or to ask any questions, ideally you reply in this thread or via PM.

2) Analytic assistant

We intend to boost both our security and science division with emphasis on threat assessment or scientific analysis respectively. For this, we look for someone who does not mind rather "dry" work including polls and more. Ideally you have some previous experience or a remotely connected professional background. Alternatively, you do not mind acquiring experience or interest in the related areas over time.

For this spot, we rather look at a potential membership position than external support. Ideally you reply via PM.

Vulture Corporation's spokesperson quit all the bureaucracy and serious business to become a Raptor :D

Clearly must have been abducted and forced to say this - would never wear an XBOX shirt.

Keep in mind: Raptors are extinct, however. Vultures are not :P

I think you are mistaken - Vultures ARE Raptors : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bird_of_prey  , and birds should be free!  B)

Also, the term "raptor" is derived from the Latin word rapere (meaning to seize or take by force)

And not just security - law enforcement, too.

Thanks to the board decision, spearheading a metro-police force just became more likely. Due to the lack of city or force names yet, we will internally refer to it as (Project) V-POL or likewise until a further change is required.

Over time we will attempt to:

▚ design specific vehicles and gear with law enforcement specifics and demands in mind

▚ recruit or encourage recruitment and find volunteers, work out a basic training schedule

▚ find or create a reasonable legal basis to operate on

▚ brainstorm about different units such as riot response if applicable

▚ potentially create a dedicated portal (website) for said force

The primary focus for now will be to create or support one major city based police force, fit to safeguard one of the potentially many upcoming larger settlements or cities. Due to the nature and alignments of this project and assuming that many player nations will try to resort to or rely on their own security or police forces, this is best suited for joint city projects or those player nations willing to bolster their forces with 'externals'.

Let us know if you are interested in either joining or potentially requesting and obtaining said support services in the far future.

Side note: Due to the current focus and contacts, we may favor non-imperial entities for now.

The word "Vulture" before security gives off the vibe you guys will be going after dead people :P

^ Well, I suppose body recovery may also be a thing later.

We are still looking - just like many others.

On that note we refer to vacant leadership positions. For Dual Universe, we're pretty much open in all areas and on all levels.

Of course, whether as 'specialist' or perhaps someone in an elevated position with more responsibilities, you'd be in for the long run. We actively look for those who are eager to get to work and help us shape and define our future here. That is lucrative for those who later want to reap the results of their work. There are already innovative ideas and projects - now we just need more hands to execute them once we can. Ideally you have some kind of remote RP background or are interested in a certain level of immersion.

If you have any questions, then I'm sure you know what to do.

Apart from that, some other updates may occur soon.

Greetings,

we are still looking for the following:

Opposed to service and security tasks, the scientific branch can already shine without an actual (playable) game to some extend. We also don't mind service personnel, as they can include Engineers and Designers.

If you are interested or if you have feedback, send a private message.

  • 2 weeks later...

Greetings.

We have changed the design of our somewhat "immersive website" and I like to think it looks a bit more cohesive than our last design.

Next to our main hub at vulturecorporation.com, we have a website dedicated for a slightly more immersive approach and advertising. With the lack of a game and focus on two at the same time, it's still a bit 'generic', but it will become more detailed over time as we intend to later advertise specific products or services.

Regardless, let us know what you think (especially if you have seen the old one and can compare) and visit:

»vulturecorp.space

Any feedback is appreciated.

Up next in the near future, with some more simple changes this weekend already: content refinement.

- Adding actual career information / expectations on the promotional website (www.vulturecorp.space) to make it more significant and to mirror our original one a bit more

- (Possibly) Changes to the original application format

- Other changes on general information beyond those areas

- Multimedia additions (pictures, videos)

We are still looking for those who don't mind a little challenge. There is a lot of work up ahead - but can you manage that?

In addition, if you think something is unclear or lacking, let us know. We take feedback serious and will always consider if changes can be made depending on what is suggested. We do not just owe that to current or future members but also those we do business with and anyone who may later benefit from our projects.
