Have they answered the wipe question yet?

The last official information on the topic comes from NQ-Kyrios's recent letter where he mentions that the internal discussion is still ongoing and reassures us that Novaquark is eagerly awaiting the day they can share concrete news on the subject. In addition, please note that NQ-Deckard has graciously clarified that core blueprints will be preserved in the event a wipe were to occur. I see that you have already shared your thoughts on the subject in the official discussion thread but for anyone else reading through here and wondering what is going on. Please review this news article and if you wish, feel free to leave your thoughts/feedback in the associated discussion thread

IMO a wipe (of everything except talent points and core BPs) is pretty much a certainty.  It's hard to see how they could do anything else at this point and they have been acting like this is going to happen.  They aren't even bothering to hide it any more really.  For example they wiped everyone's talents without even taking the time to make up a plausible reason and in the last update they handed a bunch of players billions of quanta in schematic refunds despite some of those players having bought the schematics at 1% cost some time ago.

NQ will wait for the very last moment and then proudly announce they made their decision to wipe.

They will have lost more players than if they just had told us months ago (it's actually been nearly a year since the speculation and questions started in earnest) by then because of it.

You don't have to watch the schematics every day, maybe the first few days at the beginning to start an industry, but once you have produced on REserve, it just runs through. You can increase the number of schematics so that you can also produce 1000 of them, e.g. for warp cells that would be 115 days for 10,000 circuit diagrams, which then also run for quite a while in the industry.

Yes.  But then they'll probably be surprised by the outrage the decision causes and back out of some aspect of it, annoying the other half of the players as well.

I can imagine the conversations at NQ now.  "Our game relies on players creating content for one another, but they aren't playing.  What can we do?  We already tried deleting the content the players created, making them spend most of their time grinding quanta instead of creating content and when that didn't work we tried competing with the players by creating our own content instead, duplicating what they're trying to do.  But nothing's working!  I know!  Lets delete everything and start again!  That's bound to get people to create more content ..."

The very fact that this thread exists goes to show how bad NQ is at communicating major changes.

If they lock this thread asking to put all feedback about the wipe in one of the existing threads so that players can try to dig through 40+ pages of unanswered complaints and feedback, I will laugh heartily at their "moderation".

I wouldn't classify this as a "recent" letter seeing as how it's August 1st and this was posted on June 6th. 🤷‍♂️

Honestly, it's kind of a stretch to call this "information" either, as it's really impossible to believe that any company could actually spend 3+ months "discussing" the reset.

Either they are vastly, incredibly incompetent for needing a quarter of a year (going on 1/3rd) to make a simple choice, or as most people expect, they made a choice a long time ago and just don't want to announce it yet.

Assume a element, and quanta wipe, not sure what they'll do with paid accounts (credit game time ideally) and talents is the major question in the room.

Given everything has it's cost and NQ is tight with how they allocate resource, it's very obvious they going to reset the world, but the talents and game time are up in the air.

I can't see get refunded game time. The EULA is very clear that you are paying for a test and that you do not have ownership of any in game assets. It would be extremely generous to give players 2 years of free play after the beta, just because a player was a paid subscriber.
