Peabody Posted December 29, 2021 Posted December 29, 2021 https://www.nasa.gov/feature/jpl/how-nasa-s-psyche-mission-will-explore-an-unexplored-world Quote The target of NASA’s Psyche mission – a metal-rich asteroid, also called Psyche, in the main belt between Mars and Jupiter – is an uncharted world in outer space. From Earth- and space-based telescopes, the asteroid appears as a fuzzy blur. What scientists do know, from radar data, is that it’s shaped somewhat like a potato and that it spins on its side. There you have it: asteroids are potato shaped.
Zarcata Posted January 5, 2022 Posted January 5, 2022 I do grow many varieties of potatoes at our place, but I haven't pulled anything so riddled with craters out of the ground yet.
