apollo0510
>> The very first territory per planet per (paying!) player must be tax free << This is an easy way to preserve all the player created art and content all over the planets. Everything else would be a digital middle finger raised towards the playerbase. Thank you for reading. xxAmonxx, kulkija and Hagbard
tomasco
If there is player created art worth saving it could be saved easy. Players could create org that will be caring and paying for those. Or CM could take care of it. There is lots of nice things build in the game. But there is much more unfinished, annoying, ugly shit.

blundertwink
Sanctuary isn't a solution -- the core issue is scaling, performance, and server / database costs. Jamming everything into one area (e.g. Sanctuary) that doesn't have taxes is the opposite of a solution. More player density is always more expensive. People offered a host of very simple ideas to soften the release of 0.23, too. NQ's response to criticism after it dropped was that players didn't understand why it was so good and necessary....Yet most people accepted the core idea, they just didn't agree with the implementation. History repeats again with Demeter -- I don't really get why they bother with an alpha/beta if they actively refuse to listen when players are telling them "this will be a disaster". The arrogance of this studio is just outstanding. All they care about now is pushing the game into release (or early access 'release') in a desperate attempt to boost revenue...but in doing so, they will obliterate the game's already-fragile design and it will be hugely counter-productive.
