Territorial Scanner while mining

Hello All,
If you kick off your territorial scanner and then start mining, what will the scan result be?  Would it be from the start of your scan or when the scan finishes?  When I go back to a tile to continue mining I usually kick off a TS and then mine.  To be honest I haven't done any testing to see what is what.
